Episode 14

“Where have you been?” Martin asked as soon as I stepped into the room. He was sitting at the edge of the bed, his fingers playing with the ring he was wearing. Unlike what I expected, he was kind of calm. I thought I would meet him burning in fury, but I was mistaken. “Nowhere in particular,” I answered, avoiding eye contact. “What do you mean nowhere in particular?” He demanded, his voice surprisingly calm. “I…I went downstairs, then I went outside, then I went to…I don't know, I was just everywhere,” I stammered, hoping he wouldn't tell that I was lying to him. He got up, straightened his suit before walking towards me. “Shut up and stop blabbering,” he said, his voice low. “You shouldn't make it obvious that you lack intellectual skill,” he added, causing me to gasp in shock.
