“Why didn't you tell me as soon as you noticed some changes in your body?” Dr. Jenny asked, her eyes fixed on me.
“I didn't notice anything unusual,” I answered casually.
“Loss of appetite, throwing up everything in the morning, feeling nauseous, tiredness,” she listed, using her fingers to count. “Are these symptoms casual to you?” She asked.
“Dr Jenny, I've never been pregnant before, and I have a lot of things on my mind. Pregnancy aside, I'm exhausted, I'm tired, I'm hungry but not for food,” I said, hoping she would understand me.
“You are two weeks gone, Mirabella. We can start working on the contract now,” Dr Jenny announced.
