“Be safe,” Cove’s mother pleaded, wiping away tears.
Cove stood on the platform next to Ciaran, flanked by Kwan and Kalani. The morning was pristine. There were no clouds in the sky and no weather to delay their travel. Ciaran’s expression was one of anger. His brow furrowed and shoulders hunched.
“Love, you should stay here. It’s dangerous. Sky and Indra are being matched at the ceremony. They could need your support,” Ciaran suggested.
“Happy one-year anniversary,” Cove celebrated. “They will be fine. You’re my match. Let’s finish this,” Cove responded.
