437 Words
Its been three weeks since Ive seen him. three weeks that Ive been healing and I can finally say that the ache has lessoned, not gone and it probably never fully will but its less and I can finally say Ill survive this. I can move on with my life and do everything I planned to do. I pass my courses and ill finally move on from this dead town.  I will be okay.  I dress in blue skinny jeans and a grey vest top and a black cardigan that falls to my knees. I stare in to the mirror and study my reflection. the bags under my eyes have gone and there's actually a bit of  colour returning to my face. I pull my hair into a low ponytail and grab my bag with all my assignments and books in.  as I head into the kitchen the smell of bacon wafts over me and instantly my stomach growls. "some ones looking better today, sit down your breakfast is almost ready. just waiting for Owen to finish the toast." Elora says as she comes over and hugs me.  "Thanks guys, you didn't have to do this." I smile back as I sit at the island.  "Well you cant go with an empty stomach." she replies as she starts plating up the food. Elora brings my plate to me and its loaded with toast, beans, sausages, eggs and bacon.  "This is insane guys!" I say as i start wolfing down the food. "whoa, slow down you might choke, it ain't going no where" Owen laughs as he places a mug of coffee in front of me and sits next to me.  "I'm starving" I mutter around the mouthful I'm currently chewing.  " well when your finished you and Owen can head off. you sure about this? you don't seem to be having mush luck at that campus." Elora looks at me with concern on her face. "ill be fine, I promise, I'm just going to go and hand in my assignments. Ill be there an hour tops." I reassure her and I finish off my food. "and I'll be with her the whole time " Owen says as he pats my back.  "Okay cool, well lets go. thank you for the food Elora it was amazing, i love you". I say as i hug her good bye.  "love you too Bri." she replies as she gives me one last squeeze. "look after her Owen"  she shouts to us as we head out the front door and he just laughs as he get on the bike and head off.
