Chapter Eleven

Brielle P.O.V

I lay staring at the ceiling in my room as the sun slowly moves through my window. Ive been up here for hours watching the sun fall and the sky slowly change colours. all that kept going through my mind was that night we spent together. I spent the day mostly thinking of our future and what it could be like but whenever i do all i come up with is it never will work out as we are different in so many ways. For one I'm a freak of nature and a vampire and he's a werewolf and clearly going to be the next alpha. it would never work. I sigh and throw the covers off and decide its time to take a shower and get ready to meet up with him, even though I cant see it working out it doesnt mean I dont have feelings for him and I cant deny that I think ive fallen deeply for him. I let the hot water slowly pour over me until it starts to go cold so I get out and walk into my closet and put on a pair of light blue jeans and a grey knitted sweater that Elora made for me last year and put my damp hair into two French braids that cascade down to my lower back. After putting on my combat boots I head downstairs and in to the kitchen where Owen is pouring something into a mug.

"Look who finally decided to show herself " He says as he passes me the steaming mug.

"thanks," I reply as I take a sip of the red warm liquid, (yeah you guessed it blood)

"so sneaking out again tonight?" he smirks from across the island.

"maybe" I smirk back. of course owen knows about me meeting up with Greyson. he always waits by the back door to make sure I got back okay too and sometimes I think its also to make sure Grey hasnt hurt or upset me.

"well you better hurry as he sun is set and you dont want to leave lover boy waiting"

"ha, ha, very funny Owen, Ill see you in a bit" I say with a smile as I walk out the door.

The forest is calm and quiet as I walk through it, some of the animals are probably all settling down while others are probably stealthly sneaking around hunting for their prey. the moonlight gies everything a mystical glow and almost makes it look magical around me.

 As I near the cliffs his scent starts to get stronger and  I can tell hes already at our spot. I weave quicker through the trees and bushes and the clearing starts to come into view but theres a tree blocking my view of him. I step around the tree and i feel my heart shatter into a million pieces. No! I almost double over from the pain. how could he do this to me, to us!

I feel tears start to trickle down my cheeks as I look on in disbelief. There is Greyson but instead of him being on his own there he is kissing another wolf. I stand there frozen unable to move, the pain in my heart growing that it almost feels like someone is squezzing it dry and a sob escapes my lips as the pain starts to become unbearable.

he looks up at me and stares back at me, anger courses through my body and the schock is sloly replaced by anger.

"I knew it, I knew you were using me. I cant believe how low you are willing to go, for what Greyson? to get back at my kind? to start a war? I just....."I spit at him, unable to form any more words I spin around and race back to the house. the forest that earlier looked magical and safenow looks cold and almost dead but I dont stop to take it in, all I want to do is get home and cry.

As I get to the back door I don't stop until I reach my room and I throw myself on the bed."bri, hey...whats up?" I hear Amora say from my door, she must have been startled by me racing through the house but I dont have it in me to reply to her, I just continue to cry hoping the pain will ease soon.

"whats going on?" the others come into my room and straight away I hear Owen growl." that f*****g bastard!""who, who did this?" Everett asks him and from the sound of his voice he isnt happy at all.

"not here, talk downstairs, she doesnt need this" Elora says as she and Amora come to hug me. the boys leave to room no doubt so that Owen can tell Everett everythignand the girls cuddle me till the tears eventually dry up and all thats left is my body shaking from silent sobs and I fall into a dark dreamless sleep.
