"I'm glad that you both decided to spend your honeymoon here in my homeland," Kento said, catching my eye through the rearview mirror. "You'll love it here," he continued, flashing a bright smile.
I smiled back, but my attention quickly shifted when Navid suddenly spoke.
"Drop me at the Imperial Hotel," he said, his voice devoid of emotion.
"Nani?" Kento blurted out. "Nande?"
I didn't understand Japanese, but based on his tone, he was just as confused as I was.
He glanced briefly at Navid, who was already busy with his phone again. "I thought you were going for a stroll and do some sightseeing?" Kento asked before returning his focus to the road.
"I have something urgent to do," Navid replied indifferently, his thumbs moving rapidly over the screen.
