Kira’s POV
I wanted to run away, but I was trapped. Leo was coming my way, and his eyes pinned me to the spot. I couldn’t move. All I could do was stand there while I watched him approach with an annoyed look on his face.
When he reached me, he stared straight into my eyes, his expression still irritated.
“Kira, have you been avoiding me?” he asked, his voice calm, but I could feel the annoyance in it.
I swallowed hard and shook my head. “No, I’m not… Alpha Leo… I’ve just been busy,” I said and nervously glanced around, hoping none of the triplets were nearby.
“Are you looking for them?” Leo asked, as if he could hear my thoughts.
I quivered and shook my head, lying. “Who?” I asked, playing dumb.
