Kira’s POV I blinked my eyes open as I tried to make out the faces in front of me. The ache in my skull had dulled, but my head still felt light, foggy. When my eyes finally focused, I found the triplets standing over me. And the look on their faces nearly knocked the air out of my lungs. Worry. Genuine worry. Was I imagining things? Had the hit scrambled my brain more than I thought? They stared at me as if I were glass — fragile, breakable, too precious to touch. I wanted to laugh, but instead I bit down on my smile, fighting the urge to scoff. "Kira,” Damien’s voice was uncharacteristically soft. “Are you okay? Do you feel any pain?” I fought the urge to scoff at his pathetic attempt at being caring. Damien, who barely tolerated breathing the same air as me, now suddenly cared? P
