Chapter 10
Rachel's POV
I finally got this baby blue dress on, which surprisingly did not look bad for royal attire. That jerk even got me some make up and he really does know how to size a woman up. I was still annoyed by his comments. He even got me white slingback pumps that fit perfectly with a matching white hat with a baby blue ribbon.
I started strolling in the garden taking in the beauty of the place. I didn't notice it before through all of the running and all the things that was happening. I started heading back through the rows of hedges and roses to where I left Mr Wallaby, he must be worried since I have been gone for hours.
Half way to his car I heard a familiar voice. "Rachel is that you? How did you get a hold of those clothes? Never mind, where have you been? I thought the worst has happened to you?!"
I blinked up at him at all of the questions. Trying to keep myself from crying and wiping a tear away. "Sorry, I needed some time alone. I couldn't breathe, I needed to get out of that car."
He looked understandingly at me. "I know but your life is in danger, you need to be protected at all times. I still have so much to tell you or have you forgotten Mrs Ellis's promise to explain things?"
All my emotions surfaced all at once and I started raising my voice at him. "I don't care! My parent's just died by protecting me! The last thing I want is for people to follow my every move!"
He started looking very annoyed and raised his voice back at me. "They aren't even your real parents!"
I froze and saw as he realised he regretted what he said as soon as he said it. "What?! What do you mean they aren't my real parents?! Who is then?!"
He looked sadly. "Your father, I mean your real father... He passed away in the early hours of the morning. Unfortunately the queen ordered me to come collect you but I was not to explain anything further other than that your life is in danger and that your real father is Prince William Richard the IV."
I looked furious. "Take me to the queen. Now."
