The warehouse door burst open with a crash that echoed through the cavernous space. Gabriel stumbled through first, one arm wrapped around his bleeding side, the other locked around me like he'd die before letting go. "Doc!" Marco's voice boomed ahead of us. "We need you now!" Blood soaked through Gabe’s shirt, spreading dark and wet across the black fabric. I could feel it on my hands, sticky and warm, and my stomach lurched with terror.
