At first, it didn’t make sense to me. I shook my head in denial. It was nothing but a sick dream that my mind was using to make up for my exhaustion.
“This is not a dream, my child,” she said, immediately countering my thoughts and making me gasp in shock at how she knew what I was thinking.
“How… This isn’t possible. How am I standing in front of you?!” I asked, taking steps back to stare at her properly as I may have missed just how unreal she looked earlier.
