It was as if time had stopped for me, and Nathan had complete control over me now. He kicked me twice, causing me to take a whole breath of air before I could start to struggle for him to get off of me.
“Get off!” I screamed, thrashing wildly as I started to pull away from him. I used my legs to kick at him and my hands to torture him with his dislocation until he groaned and placed his good hand against his shoulder.
I stood up, panting as I finally got the chance to give him a good look since the last time he had spoken.
“And that’s why you joined hands with our brother?!”
The words had been stuck in my head for the longest time, and I stared at him with my hands against my ribs as I watched for any sudden movement.
