The soldier did not wait for me to assure him that I was coming behind him when he made the announcement. He ran off immediately, and I followed behind him with a confused look on my face.
I had not been given the time to grasp what had happened in my dream, if I could call it that, before being shoved in a different situation.
“Where are you taking me? What’s going on? At least tell me what you think it is that I should see,” I said to the soldier as we walked further into the pack.
“I’m afraid I don’t have enough words to properly explain this to you without you thinking that I am nothing but a foolish trickster,” he replied.
There was a crowd gathered at a distance, and I could tell that he was taking me there from the way he quickened his pace when he set his eyes on them.
