I stood up as soon as I could muster the strength to, backing away from Alpha Woods in shock.
The crowd had gone silent, and everyone had their eyes on us as they all wondered what was happening between us.
“What…how did you…” All the questions I had to ask died in my throat before they could make it out of my mouth. I knew the Moon Goddess had told me that there were other people like me out there, but I had not expected that I would encounter one of them, especially in a fight.
“Why do you seem so shocked to find this out?” Alpha Woods questioned, c*****g his head to the side as we resumed the walk around each other. “You thought you were some special child? The only one the Goddess was so generous enough to bless with powers? Did you consider yourself the chosen one of sorts?”
