*Flashback*
"...and he was like, 'I'm gonna make you pay for this, Miel,'" I said, mimicking my brother's voice, laughing. "But I love that guy. He's the best brother ever!"
"He sure is," he agreed, chuckling.
Its been two months and three weeks since they started touring; and a week to go and they are going home - finally! They're in Austria now and, tonight, is our one year and sixth month anniversary. We agreed to date through Skype - to at least catch up with each other. They just got there and their show is scheduled for tomorrow, giving them a rest day - so, he's definitely free tonight.
All mine - YES!
"Oops," he said, chuckling, as the curtain flew and covered his face. He shook it off as he grinned and winked at me.
"You should close the window, cupcake, or you'll be cold," I said, sipping at my teacup.
"Ma'am, yes, ma'am!" He said firmly, then he laughed and stood up to close the window. He turned around and waved; "one sec."
"Hey," I shouted but he was gone. He ran to his left and after a couple of minutes he came back. "What did you do? Did nature call?"
We laughed. "No, just got something."
I raised my eyebrow in curiosity; "mind telling me?"
"Sure," he smiled.
"Miel," a female voice said, knocking at the door. Mum peeked inside, smiling.
"Hi, Aunt," Luke called, as he waved. "How are you?"
"Oh, been sick for the passed few days but I'm good now. How are you and the lads?" Mum smiled, opening the door widely.
"Ah, just a couple of days," he said cheerfully, winking.
"Well, I'll be expecting to see you soon," she said, as she slowly closes the door. "Ten minutes to lights off."
"Alright," I said, smiling back at her.
"Goodnight, Luke," mum called before she finally closes the door.
"There," I started, facing him again, "you heard the queen."
"Ten minutes," he repeated.
"So, where are we now?" I asked. I have this crazy desire to know what he got.
He looked at me, smiling. Then he spoke after a minute or so with sincerity; "Miel, do you remember the first time we met?"
Do I? Of course. Everyone buzzed about how we even became friends until we started dating.
I smiled, "how can I forget? You were so creepy that night."
He laughed. "I was just trying to figure out who you were because I knew I kept seeing you somewhere. If only Calum was there that time but no one knows you but Mikey. He told me we live on the same street so I tried to catch up with you."
I giggled, "and it was definitely worthy. But you're still a creeper."
He chuckled. We were both silent for a minute until he started to look nervous. "Miel, that day, I knew I saw you again for a reason. I never knew how close you were to me but that night I knew I had to make a move."
"What are you trying to say?" I asked. Could this be it?
"Skip the long speech but you mean so much to me, Miel. What age are we now? 21. 22. We're not getting any younger. I know its too early but I want to spend the rest of my life with you - for our dreams to be a reality," he continued. Then he sighed and smiled, as he raised his right hand in which a blue box sits.
"Luke," I started, open-mouthed, but he cut me off.
He opened it, revealing a diamond ring. "Miel, will you do me the honour of becoming your husband? Marry me?"
"Luke," I repeated, tears started running down my cheeks. "Yes!"
