*Flashback*
"You should have seen the houses here," he demanded over the phone. his childish voice and laughs are happiness to me. "I remember you when I saw them. You'd love it!"
I smiled. Though he haven't described what it looks like, I can already picture it in my mind. We always talk about things - wedding, kids, house - everything that's ahead of us. Even when we were just dating, he already promised me a perfect family - and I'm holding on to that.
"The houses look like cottages; only they're bigger. The windows were like those in the old days - dear Hamlet, you know; it's cute. And there were hanging--"
"--plants that look refreshing enough to come home everyday," I said, finishing the sentence for him, hugging the bear tightly. It was the bear he had won during our date at the theme park.
"But I rather come home to my future wife and our kids," he said sweetly. We always like the idea of having a cottage-like house when we get married. I'm not sure whether he just agreed with me because I've been telling him about it the whole time or if we're just really on the same page. Either way, we amused ourselves to that.
I bit my lower lip. I know how he hates it when I say those three words but it's what I feel. "I miss you, Luke. When will you come home?"
I heard him sighed; the way he would always do whenever I ask that question. He's in a band. Not that big deal until they got signed and started touring the world. Well, three months on the road as they say.
They're in Sweden right now for their month and a half. Surviving that long wasn't easy - and I still have to overcome it for that long once more.
"Luke, five minutes," I heard a familiar voice said over the phone - Calum.
"Yeah, yeah," Luke responded, sounding a bit disrupt. "Just a sec."
"Is that Miel? Say hi," he said cheerfully. "And hurry up!"
"Okay," he said and it was followed by a complete silence until he sighed once again. "Listen, Miel, I know how much you miss me and, believe me, I miss you, too."
"But," I started but he cut me off.
"Yes, you can," he demanded.
"Miel, we're not going to do this, okay? Not now, not again - understand?" There. He did it again. The way he 'pep talk' - God, there's no way of arguing.
"Yes, sir," I said, giving up.
"Good girl," he said happily. "I got to go now but I'll call you back later, okay? And don't forget to turn off the lights in the kitchen, you got a bad habit of leaving it."
"I won't," I chuckled. "I love you, Luke."
"I love you much more, Miel," he said.
