Chapter 90: The Decisive Strike

670 Words
The heavens glowed with power. Golden Alpha energy and silver moonlight spread across the sky like two rising stars, illuminating the battlefield far below. The clouds themselves seemed to tremble under the weight of the forces clashing above them. At the center of it all stood Kael and Aria. Side by side. Their powers flowing together in perfect harmony. Kael’s golden aura burned like a blazing sun, the awakened strength of the True Alpha pulsing through his veins. Every breath he took carried the ancient power of his bloodline. Beside him, Aria shone with brilliant silver light. The blessing of the Moon surrounded her like a protective tide, calm yet immensely powerful. Together— They had become something unstoppable. Across from them, Dravoryx hovered in the air, his massive body shaking slightly. The Devourer was wounded badly now. The cracks across his dark scales had widened, and streams of crimson energy leaked from them like smoke from burning stone. His once terrifying aura now flickered unevenly. But the fury in his eyes had not faded. “You think you have beaten me?” he snarled. His voice carried across the sky like thunder. “I have devoured kingdoms older than yours!” Dravoryx suddenly roared as dark energy surged around him again. The Devourer raised both claws toward the sky. “I will destroy you even if it costs my life!” Crimson flames exploded outward from his body. The energy gathered rapidly, twisting into a violent sphere of power between his claws. Aria felt the danger immediately. “He’s preparing one final attack.” Kael’s golden eyes narrowed. “I know.” The energy Dravoryx was gathering was unstable. Desperate. Reckless. If he unleashed it, the explosion would likely destroy him— But it could still devastate everything around them. “We have to stop him now,” Aria said. Kael nodded. “This ends here.” The Alpha King lifted his claws as golden energy surged through his body again. The ancient Alpha markings across his skin flared brightly. Aria raised her hands as moonlight gathered around her. Silver light swirled upward like flowing water, forming a radiant sphere of energy. The power between them began to merge. Gold and silver intertwining. The sky brightened under their combined strength. Below them, the warriors on the battlefield stared upward in awe. Even Darius raised an eyebrow as he watched. “Well,” he muttered. “That looks impressive.” High above, Dravoryx released a furious roar. “You cannot stop me!” The crimson sphere between his claws grew larger. More unstable. Lightning exploded across its surface. Kael stepped forward. “Aria.” She nodded. “Together.” Their powers surged at the same moment. Golden Alpha energy burst forward. Silver moonlight followed like a rising tide. The two forces combined into a single beam of brilliant power that shot across the sky toward the Devourer. Dravoryx unleashed his attack at the same time. CRAAAAASH! The two devastating energies collided in midair. The sky exploded with blinding light. Shockwaves ripped through the clouds as the clash pushed both forces against each other. For a moment— Neither side moved. The entire sky trembled. Dravoryx roared with all his remaining strength. “BREAK!” But Kael and Aria stood firm. Their bond pulsed with power. Moon and Alpha. Perfect balance. Aria’s silver eyes glowed brighter. Kael’s golden aura flared like a rising sun. Then— Their combined power surged forward. BOOOOOOOOM! The golden-silver beam shattered Dravoryx’s attack. The crimson sphere exploded apart like broken glass. Dravoryx’s eyes widened in shock. “No—!” The beam struck him directly. A massive explosion of light filled the sky as the Devourer was engulfed by their combined power. The heavens roared under the impact. Far below, the battlefield trembled again. When the light finally faded— Dravoryx’s massive body was falling. Slowly. Broken. Defeated. The Devourer had finally been struck down. But whether he was truly finished… Remained to be seen.
