The moment their combined power struck the heart of the Cataclysm—
The entire sky screamed.
A violent explosion of silver and gold light erupted from Kael and Aria’s attack as it slammed directly into the glowing core at the center of the storm.
BOOOOOOOOM!
The impact shook the heavens.
Lightning burst outward in every direction like shattered glass, tearing through the clouds and lighting up the entire valley below.
Inside the storm, the core of destruction pulsed wildly.
For a single moment, it looked as though it might hold together.
But then—
A crack appeared.
A thin fracture of blinding light split across the dark core.
Aria gasped.
“It’s breaking!”
Kael could feel the unstable energy reacting violently to their strike. The Cataclysm had been created from unstable power to begin with, and now that its heart had been disrupted, the storm itself was beginning to tear apart.
The swirling lightning around them became even more chaotic.
Bolts of energy exploded randomly, colliding with each other in violent bursts.
The storm was collapsing.
But the danger wasn’t over.
Far below, Dravoryx saw the change immediately.
His burning red eyes widened with fury.
“No!”
The Devourer roared so loudly that the mountains echoed with the sound.
“You dare destroy my Cataclysm?!”
Dark energy exploded from his body as he forced more power upward into the storm.
But it was too late.
The moment the crack appeared in the core, the Cataclysm had already begun collapsing.
Up in the storm, Kael’s claws still burned with golden energy as he stared at the fractured core.
“It’s destabilizing!”
Aria nodded, her silver aura shining brightly around them.
Moonlight flowed from her hands as she tried to control the chaotic energy around the core.
“We have to guide the collapse,” she said.
“If it explodes here, the shockwave will destroy everything below.”
Kael glanced downward toward the battlefield.
The Lycan warriors looked like tiny figures far beneath them.
The kingdom.
The forests.
The mountains.
Everything they had sworn to protect.
“We push it higher,” Kael said firmly.
Aria looked at him.
“You mean into the upper sky?”
Kael nodded.
“If it detonates far enough above the valley, most of the blast will scatter into the atmosphere.”
Aria took a deep breath.
“That’s incredibly risky.”
Kael gave a small grin.
“When has that stopped us?”
Below them, Dravoryx was growing more furious by the second.
The Devourer spread his wings and launched himself into the air.
Despite his injuries, he shot upward like a dark comet.
“You will not escape!”
Darius watched the scene from the ground with narrowed eyes.
“Well,” he muttered.
“This just became even more dangerous.”
High inside the storm, the Cataclysm’s core cracked again.
CRAAAAACK!
The fracture widened.
Streams of unstable energy began pouring out like molten lightning.
The sphere of destruction started collapsing inward, becoming more unstable every second.
Aria raised both hands, channeling her Moon power directly into the storm.
Silver light wrapped around the fractured core like glowing chains.
“I’m holding it!” she shouted.
“But it won’t last long!”
Kael stepped forward beside her.
His Alpha power surged again, golden energy reinforcing her control.
Together they began pushing the collapsing core upward.
Slowly.
Painfully.
The enormous mass of unstable energy began rising higher into the sky.
But just as they started moving it—
A massive shadow suddenly burst through the storm clouds.
Dravoryx.
The Devourer slammed into the storm with a furious roar.
“You fools!”
His monstrous claws tore through the air as he lunged toward them.
“You will die with my creation!”
Kael turned immediately, placing himself between Aria and the charging monster.
“Keep holding the core!” he shouted.
Aria nodded, pouring every ounce of Moon power into stabilizing the collapsing storm.
Meanwhile, Kael charged forward.
The Alpha King met Dravoryx head-on.
Their claws collided again in a thunderous explosion of power.
BOOOOOM!
Lightning scattered in every direction as the two titans clashed in midair.
Dravoryx snarled with rage.
“You cannot stop me!”
Kael’s golden eyes burned with determination.
“I don’t need to stop you.”
His claws flashed again.
“I just need to delay you.”
Behind him, the fractured core continued rising higher into the sky.
But the cracks across its surface were spreading rapidly now.
The Cataclysm was reaching its breaking point.
And when it finally exploded—
The entire sky would burn.
