Chapter 75: The Storm of Oblivion

634 Words
The sky had turned completely black. The storm above the battlefield twisted into a massive vortex of darkness. Lightning flashed violently within the clouds, each strike shaking the mountains surrounding the Lycan kingdom. At the center of the battlefield stood Dravoryx. The Devourer slowly raised his enormous claws toward the storm. Dark energy poured from his body, feeding the swirling vortex above like fuel for destruction. The air itself felt heavy. Oppressive. Terrifying. Aria stared at the sky, her silver eyes reflecting the monstrous storm. “That power…” she whispered. “It’s growing too fast.” Beside her, Kael stood tall in his newly awakened Alpha form. The glowing silver markings across his powerful wolf body pulsed with energy. His golden eyes burned with fierce determination. “We won’t let him finish it,” Kael said. Darius folded his arms, watching the storm carefully. “For once,” he muttered, “I agree with the Alpha.” Dravoryx’s booming voice echoed across the valley. “You cannot stop what has already begun!” The vortex above him spun faster. Dark lightning gathered into a massive sphere at the center of the storm. The energy was so intense that the ground below began to crack and crumble. “This,” Dravoryx roared, “is the Storm of Oblivion!” The Lycan warriors below felt fear creeping into their hearts. Commander Roran clenched his sword tightly. “If that attack falls…” He didn’t finish the sentence. Everyone knew the truth. Nothing would survive. Aria took a deep breath. Moonlight flowed stronger around her body again. Her silver aura expanded, glowing brightly against the darkness. “We have to strike together,” she said. Kael nodded. “Then we end this now.” Darius sighed dramatically. “Well, since the world is about to explode…” Dark magic swirled around his hands again. “I suppose I’ll help.” High above them, the sphere of dark lightning grew larger. The storm roared like an angry god. Dravoryx’s red eyes burned with madness. “Too late!” The massive sphere began descending from the sky. It fell like a star made of pure destruction. Aria raised both hands toward the heavens. Moonlight surged upward. A beam of silver energy shot toward the falling storm. Kael leaped into the air with a thunderous roar. His claws burned with Alpha power. Darius unleashed a wave of dark magic beside them. Three powerful attacks raced toward the descending sphere. BOOOOOOOOOOM! The collision exploded in the sky. Light and darkness clashed violently. The shockwave blasted across the battlefield. Warriors covered their eyes as the sky itself seemed to tear apart. For a moment— Everything was silent. Then the energy slowly faded. The storm above began weakening. But as the smoke cleared… Dravoryx was still standing. His body looked more damaged than before. Large cracks spread across his scales. Dark smoke poured from his wounds. But his red eyes still burned with rage. “You… still… resist…” Kael growled. “That monster just won’t fall.” Aria’s silver light flickered slightly. Using so much power was beginning to drain her strength. Darius noticed immediately. “Careful,” he said quietly. “You’re pushing yourself too far.” Dravoryx suddenly began laughing again. A terrible, broken laugh. “You fools…” Dark energy began gathering around his body once more. But this time it felt different. More dangerous. More unstable. “If I fall…” His wings spread wide. “Then this world falls with me!” Aria’s eyes widened in shock. “He’s going to destroy everything!” Kael stepped forward. “Then we stop him before he can.” But deep down, they all felt the truth. The next attack… Would decide the fate of the entire kingdom.
