Tessy’s POV
“Oh my goodness, move!” I hissed, forcefully shoving Ryder off me.
As the sharp knocking continued against the bedroom door, I scrambled out of his bed, frantically smoothing down my rumpled dress and running my fingers through my messy hair. I pulled open the door just enough to see my mother standing in the hallway, looking between the two of us.
“Mom,” I squeaked out, my voice way too high-pitched.
“Are you both okay in here?” she asked, concern lacing her tone.
“Yes! We’re totally fine. I’m completely done looking at his room now, so I should really leave,” I blurted, stepping past her and rushing straight down the hallway.
What the hell is wrong with me? I scolded myself, my face burning with embarrassment. Why do I keep letting him kiss me like that?
