Diane's POV. “s**t!” I cursed as another arrow flew past the tree. I had been here since daybreak, without getting a single target. Turns out it was all Bruce the other day, and my ego had inflated as I was beginning to think I had it in the bag. I didn't. Unfortunately, I had not seen a single trace of Bruce since I arrived, so there was nobody to give me false hope or to tell me why my arrows were not hitting the target. The closest I had gotten to was at the edge of the largest circle. Shaking my head to maintain focus, I plucked another arrow from my stash, moving into a stance as Bruce had taught me. With my shoulders straight, I raised the arrow slowly, one eye closed as another was locked on the target. I counted seven beats and let out an exhale before releasing the arrow.
