Can't we at least try!

Amony got up from the table and moved around. She was a little sore but she could tell she was already healing. She took Aleski by the hand and led him to the front porch. She sat down in the porch swing and pulled him down beside of her. You scared the s**t out of me. I thought I had lost you. Aleski said as he turned his body towards her waiting on her to reply. After a few moments she took a deep breath and looked over at him. Now, that wasn't my fault this time. I didn't even see that one coming. The witch that did all of this, she raised her hand, pointing around the cabin as she scanned her surroundings, must be very powerful. It normally takes a whole coven of them to complete a spell of this magnitude. Amony commented as she continued to look around the cabin. The whole outline of the cabin was invisible to anyone that didn't know it was there. It glimmered with the hint of magic. Amony tried to touch the side of the glimmer an drew her hand back quickly when she felt a little spark against her finger. Very powerful. She mumbled more to herself. Aleski studied the way his wife looked at the magical outline. It was as if she was obsessed with the power of it. He cleared his throat an she looked over at him. Do you think they will get the answers they need about Ava? Aleski asked her. Amony shrugged her shoulders. I'm not sure, I think they have some of the answers, but, we need to find this witch. I think she knows more than they do. I can feel that this witch is all light. She has done many good things with her powers. There is not a spark of evil that resides here. Amony explained as she continued to explore the confines of the porch. She looked out into the field an squinted against the sun. She could see where the magic ended an where it began. She wondered to herself if she could find this witch and convince her that they would be able to do great things together with the company of Ava. Somehow Amony knew that this witch wished to remain private an out of the attention of creatures that would love to get their hands on her to do their bidding. Somehow she knew that before Ava was ever mentioned they had went after her as the last Prophecy Child. She didn't know how she knew that or where the information came from, she just knew that she mustn't tell anyone. She took an deep breath an closed her eyes, enjoying the fresh air an the sun hitting her face. Aleski stood an walked over beside her. He hugged her an gave her a small kiss on the cheek. I love you Amony. Aleski said as he stepped back to give her space. Amony turned to him. I love you too Aleski. Amony said as she closed the gap between them once again an gave him a kiss. 

Hayden an Devlin sat on the small love seat across from David an Michelle. The silence was unbearable. Ava sat in the big comfy recliner watching cartoons. She laughed at the screen every time something funny happened. David sighed an scooted to the end of the cushion. We know how you found us. He stated when Hayden looked at him. He glanced over at Ava an back to Hayden. Hayden confirmed it by nodding her head. I guess you have some questions, it's why you have traveled all this way, am I right? Michelle asked her daughter. Hayden nodded again. She sighed an sat up straight. I want to know why you left me all those years ago, I want to know what you know about my daughter as well, I also want to know about the witch that is helping you. Why she is helping you an what she knows about all of this too. Hayden replied sternly. Michelle smiled softly at Hayden. I know you harbor some bad thoughts of why we left. It was to protect you. Hayden the Dark Lord has been after you since you were born. I don't know how he knew that you would have the Prophecy Child or how he knew at all really but we figured it out after my grandmother told us stories about him. One night when we were sleeping. We heard a loud noise coming from your room. You were only a few days old at the time. I walked in your room an there he was, standing over your bed. He was just getting ready to take you when I shot him with a bullet covered in your blood, that is what my grandmother told me to do, to always keep one at the ready. Of course that didn't kill him but it knocked him out long enough for us to escape. That is when we moved. Five years we raised you to be normal. That first year in school you met your best friend Charlie. You started to have sleep overs at her house. One night, while you were over at her house, he found us again. We told him that you had died in a car accident at two years old. I told him that your Aunt was driving the car an she had passed as well. After that we went over to Charlie's mothers house an explained everything to her. We gave her our life savings an told her to take care of you. She was reluctant until we told her that we would keep sending money. I explained to her that she needed to tell you  that we had passed away. That is what she did. She raised you right. You turned out to be a great person. A great mother to your child. Someone who would protect her at any cost. Michelle explained as tears rolled down her face. Hayden gave her mother a sad smile an she looked at her with love in her eyes for the first time in twenty one years. Hayden let her tears fall as well and she got up to give her mother a hug. I'm so sorry Mom. I understand now. I would do anything to protect Ava. Even if that meant leaving her some where safe. That would be my last resort though. I don't want to live my life without her. I want to be the one to raise her. Her father an I should be the ones that raise her an protect her. Hayden stated as she sat back down next to Devlin. What about Ava? What do you know about what's happening to her? The loss of consciousness when she has a spell, or an episode as we call it? Hayden asked. I'm not so sure yet. We always go in when she is sleeping. It is easier that way. That way she doesn't do what you have been explaining. It has to be someone else in her mind. Michelle explained. Hayden looked over at Ava, she was still into her cartoons. Hayden looked back over to her mother. Ava told me she doesn't allow the evil witch back into her mind. Hayden said softly. What evil witch? Michelle asked quickly. Hayden leaned in and whispered. She told me that she had sensed evil from this woman that tried to get into her mind but she had somehow blocked her from getting back in. Hayden explained. Michelle furrowed her brows then her eyes grew wide. Isabella. Michelle mumbled more to herself. Hayden sat straight up an leaned closer. Did you just say Isabella? Hayden asked quietly. Yes, She has been trying to track us for years but our witch friend prevents that. Michelle stated. Well her daughter was living on our property an mated to one of the pack members until recently when Amony an Attica figured her out. We have her locked in a spell ridden cage right now. Until we figure out what to do with her. Hayden explained. Michelle looked over at David with a knowing look and then glanced at Devlin then turned her attention back to Hayden. You are all in danger if Isabella is after her. She is the start of the Devil's Flag. Magnus is her number two. Michelle stated seriously. Hayden looked at her sideways an blinked a few times. No, Magnus is dead. We killed him. Hayden replied confidently. Michelle sighed. That is impossible. David spoke up. She makes sure that her leaders are immortal, like very immortal. You may have killed him, but, ten to one says he came back. David explained. Hayden put her face in her hands an laughed. Not the happy laugh, but the laugh that said she was over this whole ordeal. She looked back up at her father. Her daughter has the same immortality. Fane snapped her neck an she came back. So is this gonna happen with all of them? Do we even have a chance? Hayden asked nervously. Michelle glanced at David then back to Hayden. We think we may have found a way, but, we need our witch friend. We don't find her or call her when we need her, she just knows, and...... she kind of comes to us. Michelle stated with a confused expression. We still aren't too sure the who, what, when or where of all of this, we just know that we trust her with our lives...obviously. David commented dryly as he looked around the cabin. So, we just wait? Devlin asked after his long spell of silence. David looked over at him and smiled. Yes, we wait. David said dryly. How long? Hayden asked. Michelle shrugged her shoulder. We don't know that either. We just say that we need her and she comes. I'm not even sure she will come, you know, since we have company. Michelle said as she looked up at the front door as it opened an Amony an Aleski stepped through the door. Amony gave them all a smile. She will come. I can feel it. She knows that we are all good here. I know in my soul she will show. We just need to wait. Amony announced with the same beautiful angelic smile on her face. Aleski nodded when David looked at him. Amony is it? Michelle said as she stood an walked toward her with an outstetched hand. Amony looked at her hand an pushed it aside as she wrapped her arms around her an gave her a hug. Michelle hesitated for a moment an hugged her back. When they pulled back from each other, Amony gave her another smile. Yes, that is my name. It is very nice to meet you Michelle. Michelle smiled back. Yes, very nice to meet you as well, I've heard a lot about you. Ava is very fond of you. Michelle said as she glanced back at her granddaughter. Yes. I am very fond of her as well. She is my family, the reason I am here with them. I would do anything in my power to protect her. Amony said softly. I heard that power is extreme as well. Michelle stated. Amony nodded. Yes, I am very powerful but I think that Ava is my match. I can feel her power radiating from her all the way across our property back at home. Everyday it grows stronger. We are here to make sure it stays pure. If the darkness were to get ahold of her...... it would be devastating..... for us all. Amony stated seriously.  Michelle nodded. I understand. We will help in anyway that we can. Michelle replied. Amony smiled very brightly. I may need you to hold your word on that in a few days, for you see, you an David must come with us on our journey for answers. Amony stated as if it was a fact an they had no choice in the matter. Michelle immediately started to shake her head vigorously. No we can't, we would be dead the moment we stepped foot off of this property! Didn't Hayden tell you that we have trackers implanted into our hearts, they cannot be removed, or we die! Michelle's voice raised a few octaves. Amony smiled and placed her hand over Michelle's heart. Her hand started giving off a soft glow. David jumped up an ran towards them. Devlin stepped into his path with a hand on David's chest. David looked at him nervously. Please! She is going to kill her! David yelled. Devlin shook his head an put a finger to his lips in order to quiet David down. David looked over at Amony and Michelle. Michelle had her eyes closed an she was smiling. Amony lifted her hand from Michelle's chest an Michelle opened her eyes. That was so beautiful. That light. There is so many things I would love to know about that. Michelle said in awe. Amony just smiled at her. You are free from your burden now, you may live your life as you wish. No one will be able to track you. Amony said softly, a small smile still playing across her mouth. Michelle turned an looked at David. Devlin still held his hand on his chest. Devlin dropped his hand an nodded to David. David slowly made his way over to his wife. He pulled her into a tight embrace. Michelle looked up at him when he lessened his grip. David, she did it, she removed it. Michelle said softly and hugged him again. David smiled at Amony an mouthed the words Thank You. Amony nodded. It is your turn David. If you will? Amony stated it as a question. David nodded an let go of his wife with a kiss to her forehead. He walked over to Amony an stopped a few feet from her. Amony lifted her hand an he flinched. It will not cause you any pain. Amony said calmly. She tried again to move her hand to his chest an he closed his eyes. When she touched his chest her hand put of the soft glow it did with Michelle. A few moments later she pulled hand back an he opened his eyes. It is done, you are free as well. Amony stated. Thank you so much for this gift. David said with tears in his eyes. Amony smiled. No need to thank me yet, we need both of you for this next journey. Then you may do as you wish. Can you do that for Hayden an Ava? Amony asked. David looked back at Michelle an she nodded. David turned back to Amony. That is the least we can do. I would love to be in our daughter an granddaughters life from now on. David replied. Okay, then we wait. Amony said as she walked over an sat down on the couch. Aleski smiled as he passed by David, who was looking confused as ever. He sat down on the couch by his wife an gave her a small smile an a kiss on the lips. Hayden an Devlin looked at each other an laughed. Well, might as well get comfy. It may be awhile before she shows up. Devlin stated as he sat down on the love seat. Hayden joined him as David an Michelle stood there looking at each other. Hayden knew they were nervous. She knew that they had been in this location half their life without leaving the small cabin. She knew they were wondering if they made the right choice to contact their granddaughter. She also knew they were happy to finally be free. She didn't care that they had abandoned her when she was a small child, she only cared about what their next move was in helping their granddaughter. She could only pray when the time came that they made the right choice for the greater good, to always chose light over dark, even if it meant death over life. Never chose the darkness, for the darkness will always shallow you whole. Hayden mumbled quietly. She knew that Devlin had heard her but she also knew that he knew what she was thinking. He gave her a smile an a wink. She blew him a kiss an held up her right hand with her fingers crossed. He held up his hand as well, showing her that he was thinking the same. She looked over at Ava, who had fallen asleep in the recliner. She went over an picked her up an carried her the bedroom an laid her down. Devlin walked in as she was covering her up with the soft blankets. He hugged her when she turned around. I hope this all goes well. Hayden said quietly. Devlin gave her a small kiss. Me too Beautiful. Me too. We need to end this, as soon as possible. I want our daughter to have a normal life. Devlin said softly and quietly. Hayden looked up into his glowing blue eyes. That is all I ever wanted..... for all of us. I say we win this for good this time. Use everything we have. Figure out how to kill them an never look back. Hayden said seriously. Devlin smiled, showing his bright white teeth. Sounds like a plan. He said as he pulled her in for a hug. Sounds like the best plan I've ever heard Beautiful. Devlin added. Hayden closed her eyes an savored the tender moment between them, because she knew it would be awhile before they got another one. She knew they were about to go to war, bigger an uglier than the last one, but this time, not all of them would be going home. Amony had confirmed it with one of her very blurry visions, something that had never happened before. Hayden wondered who it would be, a part of her wanted to know, but, the other part of her didn't want to know because she didn't know if she could live with that knowledge an not do a single thing about it. She just hoped that it was a mistake an no one had to lose their lives. She prayed with everything she had that the vision Amony seen was a mistake. She hoped that it was the darkness that lost their lives, not the people she loves an holds near an dear to her heart. No matter what though, she vowed to stay strong an not lose focus, because if she did... It may be Ava that pays the price. She knew she couldn't live with that. She couldn't an would not accept that fate for her daughter, she would make sure of that. Even if she had to kill everyone in her path.
