The team had flown in the bio-ship and they were silent, Phantom was a bit pale and he was bleeding a bit. He hadn't let anyone get close enough to help with his injuries but they were healing so he didn't care. Everyone wanted to ask about the vampire guy, they didn't know his name, but Phantom didn't seem like he wanted to talk. Once they got back to the mountain Aqualad looked at Phantom, "Please go to the medical wing and take care of your injuries." Phantom rolled his eyes, "My injuries aren't that bad but if it makes you feel better then I'll take care of them." Phantom went straight to the medical wing and treated his injuries, he couldn't do much about his leg though. Once he was done he walked out and went to the living room and saw that the team was already there. They all looked like they were deep in thought and Phantom could tell that something was bothering each of them. Phantom had taken over half an hour to care for his wounds so they must have been like this for at least twenty to twenty-five minutes. Phantom was going to say something but the immense pain from his leg made him feel a bit sick. He sat on a chair near the kitchen and he thought about what had happened with Vlad. The man had helped the GIW capture him so Phantom didn't exactly like the guy, at all. Not even Vlad knew that he was a halfa which Phantom was thankful for, the ghosts in the ghost zone respected him so they didn't tell anyone. Even the ones that were Vlad’s allies hadn't told him that another halfa existed, Vlad didn't even think it was possible. It was night and everyone was tired, Phantom saw that they were all falling asleep and Phantom wasn't going to stop them from sleeping. After about an hour they all fell asleep and Phantom went over to the computer and hacked into it. He technically didn't have the authorization to use it but he didn't care, what could they do that hadn't already been done to him? Well there were a few things he could think of but these guys would never do that since they were heroes. Phantom contacted Batman and the Dark Knight seemed slightly surprised to see Phantom instead of the team. Batman looked straight at Phantom, "Where's the team?" "Asleep on the couch, I wanted to make sure that you didn't freak out in case they didn't contact you yet." Batman narrowed his eyes, "How were you able to access the computer?" Phantom looked bored, "I hacked the system, you should really update this thing it was way too easy to get into." Batman was not amused but he let the subject drop, "What happened on the mission?" Phantom put his hands in his pockets, "I believe the others are supposed to tell you that, like I said before I'm not part of the team." Batman looked like he was going to say something but Phantom cut him off since he was too tired to deal with anything at the moment. "Well I'm going to hang up now, see ya." Phantom pressed a button and the screen went black, Phantom sighed and rubbed his eyes. He walked back to the room he was staying in and he sat in his corner and soon fell asleep. Phantom hoped that he wouldn't have a nightmare but he knew that it was probably going to happen anyway. Phantom was enveloped in darkness at first, just like every night before the nightmares started. Then Phantom found himself in one of his memories, he never knew that it was just a memory until he woke up. Phantom was in a white room, not very surprising since all of the rooms were white in that damn place. Phantom was currently hanging from the ceiling, upside down, from chains that were wrapped around his ankles. Phantom actually liked hanging upside down, it took the GIW a few hours to realize that he wasn't bothered by it. Two agents came inside the room, "Why the hell isn't it being affected by this?" One of the agents asked sounding pissed. The other agent glared at Phantom, "It's a freak, it probably enjoys it." Phantom couldn't deny that, this was the best thing that had happened to him since he got there. Then Phantom saw two more figured in the doorway and he bit back a growl, he didn't need to piss them off. "Then let's see if it likes what happens next." Maddie said with a cold smile on her face. Phantom's first thought was, 'Oh s**t, well this is going to hurt.' The chains were taken off of Phantom's ankles and he used his hand to break his fall and he flipped so he landed on his feet. Before he could do anything else he was in pain because of the collar around his neck. It wasn't a shock collar, the collar only affected ghosts and Maddie currently held the button that controlled when it hurt him. He fell to his knees while gripping the front of his coat with one of his restrained hands. He was dragged to his feet and was brought to another room, this one was covered in his blood. He hated this room, he still had the wounds from the last time that he had been here. A simple way of explaining what they did in here was that they hung him on a meat hook. They didn't use it often but when they did it hurt a lot, it was one of their favorite ways to torture him. They'd hang him there for an entire day and he'd be in pain the whole time, sometimes he'd pass out. This was one of those times, not long after they hung him and left the room he passed out and darkness claimed him. He was always glad when he passed out because he couldn't feel the pain the whole time. When he woke up nearly the whole day had passed and he was soon taken off and put in his cell. After he recovered a little it was on to drug testing and he felt like dying even before it started. As the tests continued he felt even worse, he felt like he was on fire and he truly thought he was going to die. When he started coughing up blood the agents were slightly panicked because they weren't supposed to let him die. Jack and Maddie ordered the agents to take him back to his cell and they did, it was a miracle that Phantom survived. Phantom woke up with a start, his throat burned and it took several minutes to calm down. Once he did he slowly got up and his leg still hurt, it would take a while for it to heal. He made his way to the kitchen and he grabbed a cup and filled it with water from the sink. He drank the water fairly quickly and he filled the glass again and drank it more slowly since his throat didn't hurt anymore. That was when Phantom heard someone shift in their sleep and after a few minutes Robin woke up. He was rubbing his eyes and he realized that everyone else was asleep and Phantom didn't make a sound. When Robin looked in his direction and saw him he immediately looked worried. He got up and got a little closer to Phantom but not to close, "What's wrong Phantom?" Phantom raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean?" "You're really pale and you're shaking slightly, are you okay?" Phantom sighed, "Don't worry about it." Robin smiled just a little, "Too late for that, please just tell me what's wrong." Phantom thought for a second, "Fine, I had a nightmare about what happened to me, don't laugh." Phantom looked away from Robin, a few images played across his mind and he shook his head so they'd stop. Robin frowned, "I'd never laugh at that, whatever happened to you must have been bad, I'd be surprised if you didn't have nightmares." The two looked into each other's eyes, even though Robin was wearing a mask, and they both felt just a little better. The two sat down after a few minutes and Robin made sure he wasn't too close to Phantom. Robin looked at Phantom sadly, "What did they do to you?" Phantom shook his head, "You don't want to know, all you need to know is that it happened." The two were silent for a minute as they got lost in their own thoughts for a bit. Robin wanted to try and get Phantom to tell him what happened to him but he didn't want to push him too far. He wasn't sure what triggered Phantom to have panic attacks and episodes except a few things. No one could get too close to him, he didn't like talking about his parents, and he didn't like talking about what happened. That's why he didn't ask, if Phantom ever wanted to talk about it then he would, well he hoped so at least. Phantom finished drinking his water and he stood up before putting the glass with the other dirty dishes. Phantom sighed, "I'm going to try and get some sleep, you should do the same." Phantom walked down the hall to the room he was borrowing and Robin watched him leave. He wished that he could help Phantom but he couldn't, he didn't know if anyone could help Phantom. Phantom walked to the corner of the room and sat down before he brought his knees to his chest and wrapped his arm around them. He almost felt like crying but he held back the tears, he promised himself that he wouldn't cry anymore.
