Chapter 2: Victim

1491 Words
The day went on mostly as normal despite not being able to shake some uneasiness from earlier, and soon it was time for lunch. I typically ate by myself as you would expect from someone who had no friends to speak with. I had to wonder exactly how I was going to deal with Ren after school since we ride the same bus her harassing me. I could simply state that she is bullying me, and the bullying might stop, but a worse effect might happen plus I typically try to avoid using that power whenever possible. I couldn't also shake the feeling that someone was staring me down, but I could just be paranoid. I clumsily got up from my seat to throw away the rest of my trash, but ended up tripping over my backpack. Food got all over the floor, and I scrapped my knee it hurt pretty bad. The people in the lunchroom sitting around me would of typically busted a gut seeing me make a fool of myself, but as I scrapped my knee I stupidly said, "Dammit that bag really got in my way."  I never did get to hear the annoying laugher of my classmates since everything went back to the way it was seemingly never being disturbed in the first place. The only change was the piercing glare I received only seemed to be more intense since I used my power. I noticed the eyes that kept bugging me all day it was that new girl Aisha she was staring holes into me. Aisha looked at me with her doll like expression never changing, and it was very creepy I choose to ignore it while I separated from her to go to my other classes. I waited for the bell to finally sound as my afternoon classes finally came to a close I wanted to avoid the bus, but felt too lazy to take an alternative way home. I boarded the bus only to find my seat had been taken it would seem I would have to suck it up, and sit with whoever was empty headed enough to sit in my spot. One thing that most people would avoid is sitting, or talking with me since I was known as the creepy silent kid in school, but Ren, and now apparently the new girl seem to not get the hint. Aisha expressionlessly took my seat she now stared seemingly at nothing I walked to my spot on the bus, and sat beside this new weird girl. Aisha didn't react to my presence when I sat down, and I avoided looking at her at all costs since I wanted to avoid speaking to her. The first person to talk to me was Ren who sat in front of me as usual she loudly stated, "Hey Grey looks like you got a new girl friend haha she looks just like you." I was about to say something, but decided against it I looked away from her as usual trying to avoid any eye contact. Ren never seems to get the hint though because she continues on, "I wanted to let you know that after you get off the bus I will need you to come with me today." I wanted to decline because well that just sounded ridiculous I have more important things to do than humor this herculean girl. The majority of situations with Ren I can just grit, and bare it, but Ren didn't look like she wanted to give me a break like earlier.  Ren straightened up when she was me about to speak up, and said "Today is a special day I am in a great mood Rei, and you would not want to ruin my mood right?" I knew what she was implying if I spoke up I have no doubt I would face the consequences, so knowing it was easier to agree I shook my head no. Ren smiled, "I am Glad we understand each other I knew you would want to celebrate with me today Rei." Slumping my shoulders seemingly defeated I would just wait for my stop, and deal with whatever stupid demands this demon girl had for me. Aisha however had seemingly different plans she spoke up right to Ren she gave a quiet, but firm "No." Ren raised her head at her somewhat taken aback like I was in disbelief that anyone would talk back to her she curiously said, "Um what was that?" Aisha said flatly, "No, Rei has plans with me today sorry." Ren got read in the face now, and exclaimed, "Oh yeah? What do you think your his girlfriend or something?" Aisha shrugged, "I thought that much was obvious I mean why else would I be sitting with him otherwise." Ren looking like a tomato blurted out, "You cant possibly be serious Rei is a complete loner, and I could never believe he would be a relationship of any kind." Aisha stated, "I happen to be a loner myself, and love Rei's piercing gaze." She seemed to be having fun with this despite her expression never changing when talking to Ren. Ren snapped back, "Oh come on that is complete drivel where can you possibly be going anyways." Aisha responded in kind with something unexpected, "Obviously couples go on dates, so Rei and I are going on a date since he promised me we would go on one after school." I obviously couldn't exactly deny this since my words hold too much power saying the wrong thing could have unintended consequences.  I assumed that Ren would rage even harder given how cheeky Aisha had been, but instead she gave a somewhat uncharacteristic huff, and turned around in her seat in frustration. I had no intention of doing anything with Aisha who I had just met after school, so I intended to just walk home as usual. Once my stop came I stood up, and made my way to the door of the bus I got off, and started my usual long walk home. I lived far away from the stop which is why I sometimes arrived a bit late to the bus stop and scenes like this morning were somewhat frequent. I heard footsteps from behind which I noticed that Aisha had gotten off at the same stop. I imagine she must also live near this bus stop, but she caught up pretty quickly, and I realized she was actually just following me. I spoke up finally "What" I waited for a response a bit annoyed. Instead of replying Aisha very quickly took a knife out her pocket I reacted very slow, and tried to defend myself, but I was quickly stabbed in the stomach. I cried out, "Aghh what the hell you psychopath you stabbed me!" The pain went away before it had time to fully begin, and the knife got thrown out of my stomach instead flying back into the waiting hand of Aisha. Aisha's face didnt change despite the seemingly impossible happening right in front of her instead she responded unconcerned, "Ah your age went up again I guess you really are able to reverse causality." I was very angry however I grabbed her shirt, "What the hell!" Aisha sighed, "I am fully aware you cant speak the way you want to, but come on surely you have something better to say." I wanted to say more, but just glared at her red in the face I wanted to know why she stabbed me. Aisha glared back, "I know about your ability you have the power to reverse causality with words alone I just had to see it for myself." I was shaking from the shock of being stabbed, but I had to keep my strong act going, or I felt like I would collapse from my fear of this girl. I squeaked out a question, "What do you want?" Aisha said coldly, " I had intended to kill you obviously, but I guess fate has other plans in store for you, so instead I suppose I have an offer for you." I spoke again shakily, "What." Aisha declared, "Come with me, or I will kill you where you stand, and don't even even think about speaking again cause next time I will kill you in one shot nod your head if you understand." Shaking more than before I nodded in response to this Aisha pulled two things out of her backpack one was a gag, and the other I recognized as a blindfold. Aisha coldly told me, "I am going to put these on you someone will be here to pick us up soon if you value your life don't speak. Aisha approached me, and with no choice I let Aisha bind me with her gag, and blindfold I sank into darkness leaving my life in the hands of a girl who had just stabbed me.
