The next riddle was displayed on the wall: “I have three colors Green for ripe, Brown for readiness And white for satisfaction. But still yet I’ll give u a liquid taste of me If it’s done all according to the process of my life”
The three players stared at the riddle, their minds racing as they silently repeated it to themselves. No one dared to answer immediately, hesitant to risk accumulating outstanding points. This tense silence persisted for 10 minutes, until the Host's voice intervened.
Host: "Seems like this is quite the tough cookie (an obvious grin in his voice), but I’m not so sorry to disappoint you, as your silence would not make a difference, we can stay here for 2 more days trying to see who will be the next to smash the buzzer" (his signature laugh followed)
The faces of all three players turned pale, and cold sweat beads formed on their foreheads. Ann's expression hinted at a possible answer, but she was apprehensive about responding incorrectly. Marcus muttered to himself, "What could it be? Green for ripe... Brown for readiness... White for satisfaction..." Tim closed his eyes, focusing intently on the riddle. Ann took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves, and suddenly had an epiphany. "Is it... coconut?" she wondered silently.
The Host's voice boomed again, "Time's ticking! Who will be the first to smash the buzzer?"
After 30 minutes of silence, the host suddenly said, “How boring this is, how about I take a random pick” laughs eerily.
Host: "Mini mini mani mo Choose a pick for this riddle If you get the answer wrong I can’t help but let you go” hahahahah
With a bone-chilling laugh, he announced, “Ann, guess what, the pick landed on you” hahaha
Ann felt a cold sweat formed on her back which made her body trembled involuntarily.
Host: Ann, you have 5 seconds to give an answer or you would be directly eliminated from the game” hahahaha
Ann's eyes began to water as she realized she had to think fast. Recalling the riddle, she suddenly had an idea.
Ann: "Is it... coconut?"
The room fell silent, with the Host's laughter echoing through the speakers as the players held their breath. The seconds ticked by, and the tension was palpable. Ann's heart was racing, and she felt like she was going to faint.
Finally, the Host's voice boomed, "CORRECT! +1 riddle. 2 more to win."
Ann's face lit up with relief, but she knew she wasn't out of the woods yet. The other players looked at her with a mix of surprise and admiration.
- Tim: 1 correct, 0 points
- Marcus: 0 correct, -5 outstanding
- Ann: 1 correct, 0 points
The Host's voice continued, "Next riddle: “
A new riddle appeared on the wall, and the players stared at it, their minds racing. The riddle:”I’m so long that when I stand you can see my end but not my head”
The players were on the edge of their seats, waiting for the next move. Ann was still trembling with excitement, but she knew she had to stay focused. Marcus was seething with frustration, knowing he had to step up his game. Tim was quietly confident, waiting for his chance to shine.
As the minutes ticked by, the tension remained palpable. The players were deep in thought, but no one was answering.
The Host's voice boomed again, "Time's ticking! Who will be the next to smash the buzzer?"
The players remained frozen, their eyes fixed on the riddle. The seconds ticked by, and the tension was unbearable.
Suddenly, Marcus moved. He smashed the buzzer and shouted, "I have an answer!"
Host: "Okay, Marcus. What's your answer?"
Marcus: "Is it... um... a Tree?"
The Host's response was immediate. "WRONG! -5 points. You now have -10 outstanding points. Isn’t that great?” (followed by his signature laugh)
Marcus' face fell, and he looked like he was going to cry. His eyes so red that I seemed like he could shed tears of blood.
The other players looked at him with a mix of sympathy and relief. They knew that Marcus was in trouble.
The Host's voice continued, "Who’s next? Who wants to be the next to smash the buzzer?"
The players were hesitant and everywhere was as quiet as a graveyard . Tim knew he had to take a chance. Although he didn’t fully understand the weight of his situation. He smashed the buzzer and shouted, "I have an answer!"
Host: "Okay, Player . What's your answer?"
Tim: "Is it... rainfall?"
The Host's response was delayed, and the players were on the edge of their seats, waiting for the verdict.
Finally, the Host's voice boomed, "CORRECT! +1 riddle. 1 more to win."
Tim's face lit up with excitement, and he pumped his fist in the air. Ann looked at him with a mix of surprise and admiration.
- Tim: 2 correct, 0 points
- Marcus: 0 correct, -10 outstanding
- Ann: 1 correct, 0 points
The Host's voice continued, "Next riddle for the other players but this could be the final riddle for Tim. Let’s see if he really is that lucky: “ an evil laugh followed and Tim could help but fell afraid
