"I can't believe it. I finally got the contract," I said, jumping around the living room like a kid.
"Stop jumping around like that, or you might get indigestion," Theo said, looking at me with amusement. I had completely forgotten that he was here, and I went on embarrassing myself.
"I can't stop running around. Let me celebrate. It wasn't an easy feat getting this contract. Now I can shove this into Harper's face," I said, covering my mouth out of impulse, but everything was already out.
Theo just kept on eating; he wasn't looking surprised by my sudden outburst. "You knew about this already?" I asked.
"Of course I do. Someone came home drunk yesterday and spilled out secrets," he said nonchalantly.
