Sienna's POV Sneaking out of my own room had to be something that I had never imagined I would be doing in my wildest dreams, but here I was, facing it like it was nobody's business. I didn't care about anything else besides just making sure that I had everything I needed before it was too late. I stopped in my tracks as soon as I spotted my stepfather. "I was just talking about you," he called, beckoning me to come over to where he sat at the dining table. Ever since I set foot in this house, I had never had any reason whatsoever to use the dining room because there was nothing I wanted to do with it. I was already late for work, and if this hadn't been a person of supposed importance, I would have ignored him. Yet I smiled softly, trying to let him down gently without sounding rude.
