I didn’t give Argal and Liney a chance to protest before I got into the car, quickly shutting the door after I entered. I tried not to admire the luxurious leather interior after a lifetime of terrible cars and public transport, but I ended up running my hand across the seat, anyways. Argal sat down front, leaving Liney to protest in the backseat. “Liney, in case you’ve forgotten, Kay can’t drive, and neither can you, so I need to be here.
