After that came the most dreaded part of my day. I was supposed to have voxomancy, but I’d be having one-on-one lessons with Raum. Just the thought of that made my heart skip a beat from fear. “Piers still likes you, after yesterday?” Liney asked as I escorted her to her classroom. I shrugged. “I guess. He’s transferring me to some advanced class, actually, he’ll have me learning spells solo while he spends time teaching the others, and he’ll just check up on my progress a few times during the lesson.” It was a cute little lie which Piers told me to use when he found me during the one-hour-break. It was mostly true, actually; I’d be in Piers’ office with Raum, and he’d come to check up on us to make sure I wasn’t slacking off. “Damn, Kay, you’re really poppin’ off, huh?” I grinned
