Raum frowned slightly as he scanned me with his gaze. To my surprise, he actually sat down next to me. The action took me by surprise and I quickly scrambled to sit straight instead of taking up half the bench. Being that close to him was very unnerving. I could just feel that he was a demon, that he was dangerous. He smelled pretty nice, however. I couldn’t quite place the smell, but it wasn’t unpleasant. Maybe that was what hell smelled like. “What have you found out?” he asked, holding my gaze. That question gave the perfect reason to look away so I could pass him the notebook. “Hello to you too,” I said, opening the beginning and handing it to him.
