Outside floor to ceiling windows, snow falls on tall pine trees and beyond, vein-like trails come alive on snow-covered mountaintops. Inside, an expansive room appears a mile long with dizzying high ceilings of exposed wooden beams. The sun, rising from the east, cast dark blue, purple, and magenta across the horizon, and beams onto a towering stainless-steel oven hood looming over the kitchen. The immense home rises frighteningly over Tara's diminutive frame, causing fear of exposure. An aura of sadness pervades the air. A peculiar odor emanates around her.
