Just then she felt a sharp tug on her dress and her heartbeat stopped at that moment, blood ran cold in her veins as she found it difficult to draw her next breadth.
Sofia slowly looked down her body to where she felt the tug. Her eyes widened in fear as she gazed at the smooth large slender fingers of a man peeking under the table where she was hurdled and had a hold of one of the ends of her cleaning apron that had come loose.
"A cleaning apron I see ha" Alexander gave off a cold laugh that sent shivers down Sofia's spine.
'Is this how I die? I don't want to die' Sofia's mind was chaotic as tears started seeping out from the corners of her eyes.
"You should come out now…the show is over." Sofia heard the same familiar cold voice order but she could not even find even an ounce of strength in her body to move. What was the use if she was going to die either way?
"Ahhhhhh!" Sofia screamed out startled as she was man hauled out from underneath the desk roughly by her arm.
"Let me go! Get your hands off of me" She struggled against the firm hold on her arms.
Before she could understand what was going on, she felt the man let go of her and push her forward. She landed in another person's hold and continued to struggle but her resistance was short-lived when she felt her back being slammed roughly on the wall and large fingers wrapped around her neck.
"I have more than enough blood on my hands today." Alexander spoke softly as his hands slowly massaged the soft texture of the slender neck in his grasp and all he thought about was how easy It would snap.
"Leave Ethan." Alexander's comanfong voice ran out followed by Ethan's sight then the soft click if the door as he exited. Fear settled in Sofia's heart as her heart thurd faster in her ribs.
"Let's see what you hide behind this heredneois face shall we?" His hands tugged hard on Sofias apron, untying it before tugging at her button down shirt sending buttons flying around.
"What are you doing? Let me go!" Sofia screamed in paid as she fought back but all she heard was the slow chuckle of Alexander and she was flipped on her back.
"You shouldn't hide such body under baggy clothes hmmm" His fingers explored the confines of her body leaving her feeling violated as tears slipped past her eyes and she kept screaming in paid as he molested her.
" Leave." Immediately Sofia was freed from his grasp she propped herself out of the office as fast as she could with blurry eyes and tears ridden face.
" That is one delicious kitten. Keep your eyes out for her'' Alexander chuckled as he plopped down on a chair. Ethan who acted like nothing just happened zipped up the bag he had put the body in.
It felt like she had just faced death and lived to see another day, with trembling legs she had rushed out not even stopping when her superior had tried to stop her.
She was sure she looked like she was mentally ill as she ran across the road causing old ups and igniting screams and shouts from drivers.
Getting out of her residential elevator she rushed to her apartment door to meet it wide open and she took a pause. Her mother was most likely here.
With shaky legs and out of breath she walked into her apartment after taking a deep breath.
"You said you weren't heading to work today so where are you coming from?" The elderly woman with slight Asian features asked harshly as she glared hard at Sofia, slightly taking note of her desheviled clothes and red face.
"I…I… went to work and…" Sofia's sentence was cut short by the rise of the woman's hand
"That doesn't concern me. I am just here to collect the monthly fee." Sofia's Mother demanded as she overlooked Sofias's state of partial undress and frightened state.
"How much is it for this month?" Sofia gritted her teeth as anger slowly overtook her body. She felt very weak her legs were wobbly.
Every single day she worked hard, her mates were in school leaving their teenage years and exploring but she was confined to working as a cleaning crew, just for most of the money to be taken from her by her mother and given to her younger sister whom she cherished so much. And to top it off she just got violated by her boss!
"The usual three thousand dollars. If you have any in savings add it too, Garcia has a new designer bag she wants to get.
"What does she need another for? She has tens of them!" Sofia blurted out in anger
" Are you now talking back at me Sofia!" Her mother shot up from her place on the worn-out sofa in anger.
"I am sorry." Looking down at her feet Sofia immediately regretted her outburst.
" You better be, you are the elder sister. It is the right thing for you to provide for your younger sister." Her mother plopped back down on her chair as she searched her bag.
" Quick, make the transfer. I have wasted too much of my time here." Mumbling this out Sofia's mother kept tapping at her phone.
"I quit my job." Sofia decided to break the news early to her mother. She didn't plan on stepping back into that company.
"You quiet? Surely you can get another job! Why is this a problem? Just send the money already!"
"None of the other jobs will be willing to pay a cleaning service three thousand dollars a month." Sofia laid it out, surprised that her mom didn't get angry and beat her up.
"Just get another job smh! That reminds me Betty mentioned a vacancy at her hotel and bar, why don't you go check it out tomorrow? Bars would pay well for pretty girls."
Sofia's mind was still stuck on that last sentence her mother made, her skin crawled as memories of what just happened flooded her mind. Was she just a money machine to them? Her mother didn't even waste any more time as she got the money and headed out.
Sofia could feel her skin crawl over, and in anger, she slammed the door shut after her mother.
"A hotel my foot!" Sofia hopped onto her small-sized bed as she groaned in pain. She was so hungry and exhausted too. Slowly her eyes dropped till her breathing became regular.
Her sleep was not a peaceful one as she woke up countless times screaming and clutching at her neck. The terrifying experience she had that afternoon still haunted her.
She didn't end up having any sleep as she cried all through the night with her heart filled with hate.
She didn't know when she fell asleep on the couch. She was exhausted.
