"I'll be back in a few minutes, Rex," I tell him, leaving the bar to go to my office. "I placed a large order and need to make sure it processed right."
"You got it, boss." He salutes me like a jackass.
Liv's supposed to be here any minute now for Lily's bachelorette party and I'm losing my mind waiting for her to arrive. I need a few minutes to myself before she gets here to think about what it means that she told her brother she'd be staying with me. I guess I hope it means what I think it does, and that she feels the same way about me as I do her. That maybe we're ready to make this thing between us official and figure out how to somehow make the distance between us shrink.
