Dr. Molimo had a very specific mission, which was to conduct the transfusion and then go back to his country. He had an entire Treatment Centre to run in Businga so he couldn’t wait to go back home.
When André met Dr. Molimo it was a surprise, but it was explained later the need of Dr. Molimo. Besides being surprised, it was also comforting to have someone from his country with him.
Brutch was blood type A and André was type AB, so there was compatibility. André’s blood was drawn already. Ornée had signed the informed consent form as Brutch’s medical proxy; now the long-awaited time of blood transfusion was just minutes away.
