“As I said, back there is the kitchen and our dining area, you’ll see that when it’s dinnertime. Here are storage for the bar and here are for the kitchen.”
Celestine pointet towards two doors right beside each other. On the left was a sign saying “Bar”. There were no sign on the right side door. That should be easy enough to remember. We walked through the door in the end of the hallway.
“This is where you came in. The front door leads right into our bar- and entertainment area. It’s from here we run our Gentlemen’s Club. We have a regular bartender here on our opening nights.”
“Are you open every night?”
“Oh no sweety. We are open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 4 nights a week. The bartender starts at 8 pm and goes home at 1 am. If there are any men in the second floor rooms, they must be gone by 2 am. That’s Mothers rules.”
“What about the other nights then?”
“Then we either spent time alone in our rooms or down in the leisure room downstairs. We see each other as sisters and we learn stuff from each other. Ruby is the youngest here - the youngest Mother ever has taken in. We have tought her to read, write and do math. We dance, do yoga or run in the garden to keep us fit. We seek out trends and makeup tutorials and practice them. You know - we do all kinds of things in our free time.”
Wauw. Celestine was talking about the place as it was Disneyland or Hogwarts. The most fantastic place on earth. The kind of place I hoped I was going they were driving me to Julie and Henry’s house. 10 loving sisters support and backup, a beautiful home with all I could ever need - but how could I ever pay for it?
“How do I pay for all this?” I asked Celestine.
“Oh no need to worry about that sweety. Yellows live here for free. You contribute with your work in the laundryroom and by helping out here and there. We pay Mother 25% of all the earnings we have on the second floor. We get 25% to spend on clothes, and Mother holds on to the last 50% on a savings account, which we get when we chooses to leave here.”
“Are you sure about that?”
“Of cause! When she found you, she was on the way back from the airport. Goldie, who came here as a 20 year old who had been dumped by her dumbass boyfriend. She had nowhere to go, so she joined us. She worked here for 5 years, and today she took a plane to Japan to study there. Her savings account held around 300.000$.”
“Wauw. Thats really mpressive!” That was all I could say.
