Lucas is always gentle, to everyone, including the media, and their actions did not offend him.

Today, instead of nodding to the reporters immediately, he stood by the car door and reached his hand into the car. The reporters noticed his movement and the sound of shutters paused for a moment, then became more intense.

Lucas gestured to people to continue their conversations as he and Ella walked through the crowd. Soon, the venue returned to its previous noise.

Emma walked over with a highball glass, and she was happy to see Ella, "Ella, it's been a few days, I've missed you."

Ella smiled back, "I've missed you too."

The three of them chatted as they walked, and Lucas asked Emma in a low voice, "What's the situation now?"

"All the invited ladies and gentlemen have arrived. Also, some rarely-seen people have come," Emma replied to him.

"Great." Lucas took a glass of red wine from the waiter and looked to Emma.

Emma handed the highball glass in her hand to Ella, "This is non-alcoholic juice, my brother specially asked me to prepare it."

Ella took the highball glass and thanked them. She had a slight allergy to alcohol, and he always remembered that.

"Can you accompany me to meet a few guests first? It won't take too long," Lucas patiently asked Ella.

"Of course." As a qualified wife, this was what she needed to do.

With her arm linked with the one Lucas offered, Ella put on the demeanor of a hostess and greeted various guests of different genders, ages, and skin colors with him. She didn't understand the compliments and negotiations between business community, just kept smiling, and with Lucas's reminder, she clinked glasses with the necessary guests.

On the way out, many people greeted her, including company employees and guests she had and hadn't met before.

She politely responded and walked steadily towards a less crowded cold table. This cold table was behind several columns, blocking most of the sight, which made Ella feel a little more relaxed.

"Ella, you're finally here." Billy greeted her standing next to the cold table.

Billy was surrounded by several screenwriters, all of whom were his peers. The screenwriters greeted Ella when they saw her, calling her Dr. Thompson instead of Mrs. Bennett.

These screenwriters, Ella was not unfamiliar with, they could also be considered friends. Some of them praised her beauty and temperament, while others praised her recent papers.
