1800 Words
The next few months were great. Tyler and I got closer, our love grew deeper. I never knew love could be so wonderful, with Tyler, but it was. I never experienced this. Kurt was always pain. But Tyler was the opposite. He was loving, kind, and he loved me. Not just me, but Cory too. I saw the bond they built and Cory had the father figure I always wanted him to have. It was perfect. More perfect, I found out the day before that I was expecting. I didn’t mean for it to happen, but I didn’t prevent it either. I mean, we had lots of s*x and without protect. But I was thrilled cause I knew Tyler would be too. We talked about it briefly, but didn’t push it. We both did say we wanted children. I wanted more and he wanted some of his own. But I made a point to tell him, I want our relationship a little more stable before we took that step. Guess life had other plans. I missed my period and I was sick the days prior, I cracked it up to food poisoning as Tyler order Chinese. But after the sickness went away, I was literally attacking Tyler as I was extremely horny. He cracked about it, than pointed out my breast were getting bigger. It hit me, just like that. I missed my period, I got sick, I was extremely horny, and my breasts were getting bigger. Yeah, I was pregnant, I didn’t need a pregnancy test to tell me that. But I got one the next day anyways. I remember when it popped up positive, I felt so many things. Most of all, happiness. I was going to tell Tyler but I wanted to do something different. Something surprising. The next day, I was cooking breakfast, trying to find someway to tell him our big news. I knew Tyler would be happy about it. Cory was sitting at the counter as I cooked. I was so in thought, that I didn’t hear Tyler come in. He wrapped his arms around me from behind and I smiled. “Hey beautiful.” I turned to him. “Hey cowboy.” He gave me a small kiss. Than he noticed I was in my uniform. “When you gotta go in?” “In a bit.” I told him. Tyler looked at Cory. “You ready to do some work today.” It was a Saturday, so no school. “Yeah.” Cory got excited. He loved just having one on one time with Tyler. “You really okay with watching him?” I always asked this because I always felt bad when he did. He just frowned at me. “Do I ever mind?” I just smiled and he looked over at Cory. “Plus, gives us guys time to bond.” Cory just grinned, happily. I smiled at my boys. Than I gave Tyler a quick kiss. “I gotta go or I will be late.” I went to step away but stopped myself. I smiled at him. “So, there is something we should discuss tonight.” “Is everything okay?” He seemed a bit concerned. My smile got bigger. “Everything is beyond perfect. I promise.” He smiled at me and gave me another kiss. I moved away and gave Cory a small kiss on his head. “Love you guys. Don’t have too much fun without me.” “Bye mama.” Cory yelled at after me. I was pretty happy with the life we were leading. I got in my car and got to the diner within fifteen minutes. I walked in as I put my apron on. “Hey Gretchen.” I smiled. “Hey chick. Cutting it close.” She smiled at me. I walked behind the counter and breathed, “I know. Tyler was working so I had to make sure Cory got feed and you know that means I cooked for Tyler too.” “You spoil that man.” I smiled at this. “I am glad he found you.” “I’m glad he found us, he changed our lives.” I said, happily. I started to get my things together to get orders when Gretchen informed me, “By the way, a friend of yours was looking for you. He said he knew you back in high school.” My heart almost stopped. “God, I forgot his name. But he was tall, blonde hair, blue eyes. He seemed real nice, a charmer actually.” Than she looked up as she seemed to be racking her brain. “What the hell was his name?” My stomach was in knots as I knew who she was talking about. No one else would be looking for us. “His name wasn’t Kurt, was it?” I prayed to god she would tell me no. She snapped her fingers. “That’s it.” I started to panic. “You didn’t tell him where we were staying, did you?” “Well, yeah. I mean, he said he was your friend.” She seemed confused now. My world felt like it was spinning and I felt nauseous. He found us. My worst fear came true. I knew I had to get home. I pulled off my apron. “I have to go.” I began to panic. “I have to get home.” I went to rush off. Gretchen grabbed my arm. “What is going on?” "I can'texplain right now. Please understand.” She looked at me confused. “I don't understand.” “I have to go, Gretchen. I have to go home right now before it is too late.” I told her. “What do you mean?” She asked worried. "You are frightening me. What does this have to do with that man I told you about?" “I'm sorry but I have to go.” I said, fearfully. Before she could respond, I rushed out the door. I drove as fast as I could, back to the ranch. As soon as I pulled up, I saw Tyler on his horse, moving to the barn. I jumped out of the car and ran as fast as I could to him. “Where’s Cory?!” Tyler was now off his horse and looked at me, confused. “I thought you were at work.” “Where’s Cory?!” I demanded. He was shocked by this. “Inside, he said he be out shortly.” “We have to make sure he is okay.” I went to rush away but Tyler grabbed me. Before he could question it, I blurted out. “Kurt found us!” His eyes widen as fear filled his face. Without another word, he took off running. I was on his tail. We got to the back door and I ran in behind Tyler. “Cory!” He yelled out. “Cory!” I yelled out. We started to walk through the house as we called for him. I got to the stairs, about to walk up them, when I heard a whimper. I stopped and looked towards the living room where it came from. “Cory?” I was scared. I moved down the steps I was on and moved towards the living room. Just then I felt someone grab my arm. I jumped and turned to see Tyler. He put a finger over his lips than moved in front of me. He walked towards the living room as I followed. We got in and looked around. I spotted him first. I gasped as Cory was standing there with his father right behind him with a gun to him. “Cory.” “Mama.” He sobbed out as he was frightened. I went towards him. “Don’t you dare.” Kurt hissed and Tyler grabbed my arm to stop me. I looked at my terrified son as tears started to fall. “Please, please, Kurt. Let him go.” He gave me a menacing smile. “Not happening, Angs. He is my son and he is coming home with me.” “Mama.” Cory sobbed out again. My heart winced. I wanted to save him. “Kurt, he is scared. Please just let him go. He’s just a boy.” “No!” He yelled loudly as he pointed the gun at me. Cory jumped at his tone. “You left me! You took my son from me, you stupid b***h! Did you really think you could leave me and take my son!” His voice grew louder, grew angrier. Tyler quickly got in front of me as he put his hands up. “Look, man. I get it, you are angry. I would be too if my son was taken from me.” I knew what Tyler was doing and I honestly hoped it would work. “But look at your son. You are scaring him. You don’t want him to see his father like this, do you?” “Who the hell are you?” Kurt just grew angrier. “No body, man. A nobody. Just someone who got caught up in this mess. I just want to make sure the boy is okay. You know?” Kurt looked at him for a moment, than at me. Gun still on us. He then smiled as he realized something. “You are screwing my wife, huh?” “No.” I quickly answered. Kurt just smiled, he didn’t believe me. “So, man. How does she taste? I bet still so sweet. Oh, and I bet she still as tight as the day I took her virginity, huh?” Tyler didn’t answer. “Well, it will be the last time you have it.” He pointed the gun more at Tyler. I quickly moved forward as I yelled out, “Wait!” Than I calmed my voice as tears came streaming. “Wait.” Kurt looked at me and listened. “Let me make you a deal. Let Cory go. And take me. I will go with you, willing. And we can be together.” “No.” Tyler whispered at me harshly. I said, softly, “I have to do this, for both of you. Please.” He struggled internally, I saw it. I looked back at Kurt. “What do you say? Take me and let our son go.” I knew it was too sweet of a deal for Kurt to pass up. See, he never cared about Cory. Not once. But I was his prize in his eyes. He wasn’t really angry that I took his son and left. He was angry that I left him. He smiled at me as he eyed me up and down. “And you will be mine?” “All yours.” I nodded. “Come to me and I will let the boy go.” He said, menacingly. I looked at Tyler as he pleaded with eyes not to do it. But I had to for my son. I looked back at Kurt than my son. “When he lets you go, go to Tyler. Okay, baby?” He nodded as the tears continued to fall. I got closer and silently said goodbye to my two loves. I knew once he took me away, I would never see them again. I knew Tyler would take care of Cory, I didn’t worry about that. I moved forward as I knew my life was going to change.
