Fitz"s father landed the shuttle near the train platform, out of sight of the Oymyakon Foreign Service Academy. Ritchie was pretty sure this was Fitz"s doing. Landing near the hangar—or, worse yet, the athletic fields—drew far too much attention from the rest of the cadets. When they descended the ramp, they found Colonel Hansen standing alone on the platform, waiting to greet them. The skies were dark and ominous, and the wind was wickedly sharp, but neither rain, snow, nor anything in between was falling. Yet.
