"Look mom and dad. I may not be heading in the way you want but I'm going my own way. You told me that's how we lead by example not by following past." I say calmly as I try to be patient. "Yes dear but this is completely different than what we meant." My mother says and yeah she has a point but the world I want is one of acceptance not delusional denial.
Depression is very uncommon among shifters but it happens. "You are right mother but we are in a vastly changing world and we have to adapt. I have known I was born into the wrong body since I was thirteen and if we don't adapt what the humans call depression will be our new reality and I want to lead by example and change the way we look at everything as a whole." I say drinking my coffee and grabbing me a Gatorade before heading to the training grounds. "Dear you are right but war will break out of we don't handle this carefully." My father said running after me. "The world doesn't change just because we ignore change. The times are changing if we don't change to accommodate we will be left behind. Now father please let's get to training before we fail our pack." I say as I continue walking towards the training grounds.
We train and I can just tell my father was not happy with me but he was staying quiet because we are in front of the pack. I don't like when me and my parents fight but this is how change happens.
