The next day, Saturday, they all met at the office.
“This will be brief,” Sullivan said. “I want all of you to take the weekend off, unless something happens and I need you. But first, let's just go around the table and discuss what we have found out.”
“What about the rifles?” Ted asked.
“We got two of them. Poole said his was at a buddies camp and I could pick it up Monday.”
“Suspicious,” Andy said.
“No doubt, we'll just have to wait and see,” Sullivan said. Looking around the table, “Did any of you find anything interesting about the other guys I asked you to check on?”
“Madison and I came up empty. Several dead ends. It was like chasing our tails,” Andy said.
Glancing at Ted, “Did you and Sheila find anything?”
“More dead ends.”
“Does anyone have anything?”
