As soon as they turned left onto White's Bridge Road, Sullivan put in a call to Ted who he assumed was still sitting outside Poole's house.
“Where are you?” Ted asked.
“Just leaving Standish. It's Poole.”
“You sure?”
“As sure as I can be. Any activity at his place?”
“There has been activity. The garage light is on and it looks like they are moving around inside. I have had glimpses of both of them going from room to room. It has been quiet for a couple minutes now.” Pausing, “Wait, he is coming down his driveway. He is approaching me.”
“Don't do anything. Just see what he wants. Leave the phone on so we can hear.”
