UNTIL WHEN CHAPTER 10

"Hi darling, how is your school taking you?" Lisa asked when Sainapei arrived from school. "It's actually great, I'm making new friends and learning different things. The new subjects are quite complicated but I'm trying my best." Sainapei said putting her books on the dining table so as to do her assignments. She had joined Kolet High School after performing excellently in her eighth grade and she was proud of it. She had received very many awards and treats from different people. "Don't worry, you will soon get used to all those." Lisa said with a smile. Her high school time was tough but Sainapei remained determined to excel. Students tried to introduce her to drugs but she turned them down. They also tried to introduce her to teenage relationships but Sainapei was a focused girl and never wanted to associate with such behavior. After school, Lisa always asked her how she had been and Sainapei never hesitated telling her the many things that happened. "You know, sometimes we just have to let go of unnecessary things like relationships, for the sake of our dreams." Lisa said looking at Sainapei straight in the eye. "And that's exactly what I'm doing, all these will come at the right time." "Now that's my girl." After about a year, Sainapei was elected as student's peer counselor together with other five students. Her academic records were excellent and so the part time work never affected her at all. The students got to like her and they actually admired her. Sainapei was a bright student, confident, mature and of course, beautiful. Above all, she was a Christian, a God fearing girl. Time flew so fast and soon Sainapei was sitting for her final examination. She prepared very well, working on both her weak and strong areas. She was perfectly ready and when the exam came, she gave it all her best. Carefully and brightly, she answered all the questions and handed the last paper to the invigilator. "Sainapei, how was your exam?" her mother asked when she arrived from work and found Sainapei having some coffee. "It was fine." she said with a smile. " With that cup, it was actually pretty fine." Lisa teased. "Oh, that's succustic." The exam was actually great for Sainapei, she just never wanted to be overconfident with herself. Finally, the results were out. Sainapei and her mother were on the television at six in the morning. They listened silently and anxiously as the results were announced and at last, Sainapei's name was mentioned. She was position five in the whole country! They jumped up and down all over the house with excitement and suddenly, the door bell rang. " Hello madam, is this where Sainapei Williams lives?" A man in a blue suit asked when Lisa opened the door. "Yes, why?" Lisa asked surprised. " Here is a letter from the National Education Center. It's for her." the man said handing her an envelope. " Thank you." Lisa said then locked the door behind her. " Mama, what is it?" Sainapei asked when her mother came in. "It's a letter for you." " A letter?" Sainapei was surprised too. Lisa then opened it and began reading it loudly. Before she finished, she fell right on the floor with a thand. "Mama! Mama!" Sainapei tried to wake her up.
