"Run! Run!" There were screams all over the camp site and Nasieku was still holding tight on her mother when they saw a plane bombing to where they were. They run as fast as they could trying to escape the gun shots from the plane. Everyone was running to save their lives. The soldiers tried to take cover but the attackers were many and in all sides.
Luckily, they finally managed to fire a bomb on the plane bum! It exploded near Sainapei and her mother and the force from the explosion threw them so far away. The explosion affected many and cut short their escape. The ones far from there were still running and chasing each other. Every member of the camp was shot to death when seen by the attackers.
All the soldiers were killed, managers, men, women, children and many buildings had been exploded and destroyed completely. The surviving attackers escaped leaving the camp looking horrible. Dead bodies lied all over, from the entrance to every corner of the camp.
The camp was a very nice place but the attack had just brought it's sudden end. Everyone loved the place. It looked like an ophanage and had all kinds of people; from the streets, ophans, victims of attacks like such, refugees and many other people with different backgrounds. The camp had given so many hope and a second chance to renew their lives. There were also donations from companies, individuals and the government to help support as many people as possible. It was a well known place admired by many for the great work and genorisity.
Over two thousand people were there by that time, including some who had already become soldiers in the camp of course after thorough training. Every year, they released a big number after getting them jobs in town according to their performance. Similarly, they admitted more and more people.
A big number had benefited from the aid the camp offered free of charge.
Suddenly, Sainapei opened her eyes though she could barely see clearly. She wiped the dirt off and was again able to see better. She looked around and could not believe her eyes. The whole place was now carpeted with dead bodies. She then saw Nasieku a little further from where she was and crawled to her. She tried to wake her up hoping she will at least open her eyes and yes, she did. Nasieku opened her eyes and saw her daughter beside her. Blood was coming out of her mouth which shocked Sainapei. It was then that she saw a metallic rod that passed through her mother's chest and she was bleeding profusely.
"Mama," Sainapei whispered.
"M--y da- u- gh--ter." Nasieku stammered from the unbearable pain.
" Mama, please, don't leave me here please. " Sainapei cried though she knew that was the end of her mother.
" T-a-ke c--are, I l-o--ve--y." and she cut her breath.
Sainapei cried and cried with no control on her mother's dead body. Her mother was never coming back again and she was now on her own.
After sometime, she tried to crawl again but suddenly someone shot her on her shoulder and she fell right beside her mother's body.
