Chapter 12

"One last question"

Eva looked at Aiden, her tears already dried up against her cheeks. She just wanted everything to end. Eva hoped he could leave her alone after she answered all his questions. She doesn't have any strength left in her body as she was assaulted by him. And her hand was hurting her more. Even though it's not her fault, she was punished for no reason.

" What is your relationship with Alexander?"

Aiden looked at her forest green eyes expectantly, hoping to get an answer that would satisfy his inner demon.

" Our relationship? It is nothing special" True to her words, they don't have any romantic thoughts about each other. Alexander was a trusted friend who would help her regardless of their social status.

" What do you mean?" Aiden asked her skeptically.

" We are friends! Nothing more " Eva screamed at him in anger. She doesn't understand why Alex was involved with her in this situation. Why does she have to be treated poorly, just because she knew Alex? Why would he hate Alexander to the point where he would destroy someone just because they knew his brother? And why would her trusted friend send her to this madman despite knowing this hate?

" Don't think about lying to me! You can't handle the consequences!"

" Why would I lie to you? If you can not trust me, ask Alexander! After all, he is your brother!" Eva could not help but scream at her master. She had enough of him and she wouldn't allow him to push her around anymore. Before she could blink, Aiden grabbed her chin in a painful grip. Eva winced in pain and looked at the hovering mad man with fright and confusion.

Aiden doesn't know what to do anymore. Did he really miscalculate this girl? Is she innocent? The hate he felt for Alexander and his stepmother made him react like this. He hated Eva just because Alex was involved with her. He doesn't know whether to hate her after this or let her go. The rational part of his mind advised him to let her go, but he couldnt seem to listen to it. He felt like he had already crossed an invisible line between them. At least he should forget everything and just let her work here like all other maids here. Or if he hated her, he should fire her and get it over with. But he was not able to do them both. He wanted more from her. Her loyalty, her obedience, her innocence, her body and soul and practically everything from her. And it's not just lust, it is something, a more dangerous feeling.

He wanted to hold her tightly until he submerged himself into her. He wanted to brand her body and mind as his. This raw possessive feeling burned his very being. He doesn't want to see her with anyone other than him. She is his little sparrow. He would cage her in this very mansion and he would be the reason for her fear and misery.

Eva started to fight wildly as his grip on her chin started to hurt very badly. She was sure it was going to leave a bad mark. She tried to push the unmoving man but failed before his strength.

" Let go please " when her begging fell deaf on his ear, Eva went insane with anger and pain. Unintentionally, she screamed at him.

" Let go of me bastard !"

Aiden was shocked by her outburst but didn't lose his grip on her chin. His rage-filled black eyes glared at her.

" Do not think you could ever order me, girl! I can make your life more miserable than you ever think " Aiden growled at her little form with mad fury. He would not tolerate disrespect from anyone, especially this petit maid. As always, her frightened face calmed the master. He wanted her to fear him to the point where she would not think about anyone other than him. Only fear could make her more obedient to him. The thought of her being owned by him brought a strange feeling of happiness to his twisted heart.

Eva tried to move her eyes away from his darkened eyes that promised pain but couldn't as his grip was getting stronger and stronger by each passing second. She closed her eyes and cried silently to herself.

" I will let you work here peacefully. I will take care of your financial needs but..."

Aiden's sudden voice made her open her eyes and stare at the vile person with fright. She knows nothing good will come out of his mouth. So she prepared herself for the worst.

" I want your utter obedience. You will only obey me. You will forget everything about my brother and swear your loyalty to me. You will belong to me in every sense. Never ever forget who your master is! Do everything I say, come whenever I call for you."

Aiden looked at her with poorly suppressed desire, making Eva quiver. She now realizes that there was no escape from this madman. He is going to do whatever he wants anyway. Eva wished she could pick up some courage to oppose him and deny his demands, but she found herself helpless before his unrelenting strength and wealth.

Aiden made her nod her head by gripping her chin and head, then he ordered her to say yes to his unfair condition.

" Say 'yes' like a good girl" Aiden spoke with, a mocking, gentle tone. Eva was aware she was not allowed to say 'no'. She doesn't want to face another round of abuse from him. Eva swallowed her pride and answered to please her master.

" Yes "

" Yes what?" Aiden growled at her ear before giving it a little bite.

" Yes Master ".

He patted her cheeks affectionately before releasing her chin at last. Eva tried to rub her chin to soothe the pain but Aiden grabbed her hand. He rubbed the sore part gently before kissing it, as if saying sorry for hurting her.

He kissed her forehead, cheeks, eyes and, at last, at her unresponsive mouth. Eva didn't fight or argue. She just let him do whatever he wanted and sat like a doll. And Aiden was very pleased by it.

" Good girl"
