Chapter 5

" I was waiting for you, Miss Eva Park."

Eva stood there like a docile kitten. She didn't want to do anything that would trigger his anger. She walked like she was walking on fragile egg shells. If she wanted to survive in this house, she had to be careful around him. And the urge to escape this room and this person thumbed against her heart.

" Your dinner Master"

Her scared voice sent shivers down his spine. Aiden licked his lips in anticipation. Where did his brother find her? This pitiful little sparrow is surely enticing. And, moreover, he wanted to know what she would do in the closed space. But what can a sparrow do? Fly? But he had already blocked the escape routes.

" Place it on the table. "

Aiden watched as she avoided his gaze. From the moment she entered, she didn't avert her eyes from the floor.

He was getting irritated for some reason. Normally he would get angry if the maids dared to disobey him. But in Eva's case, he wanted her to do something. He wanted to see her expressive eyes staring at him with nervousness and fear.

Oddly, her fear-filled eyes are enchanting him, calling him to do something to her. Whenever she is near, he isn't able to control himself. Emotions flood through his mind, making him a mess.

He watched her like a hawk, analysing everything about her. The way she moved, breathed and even the light shivers that went through her petit form.

Eva gripped his dinner plate tightly. She could feel his dark eyes raking over her body like a cold wind. She immediately wanted to run far away from the stare that made her feel naked.

' Why did Alex make me work in this scary place? How come he got involved with this person?' Eva wondered.

Carefully, she placed his dinner on the table and waited for him to say something. But her master didn't say anything, he didn't even move from his place. Eva began to get nervous for some reason.

' Should I leave silently?'

Eva thought as she moved away from the table.

" Then.. I..I will take my leave, master. "

Eva tried to leave the room without alerting her master, but before she could reach the door a deep voice stopped her.

" You are quite a daring one. "

Eva's breath hitched. Didn't she refrain herself from displeasing him?

" w...what did I do M.. Master?"

Aiden smiled at his naive little maid. He found himself getting excited for no reason. He likes taunting his little sparrow and pushing her towards her limits to see how far she will fly.

" Did I tell you to leave ? "

Eva shook her head as a ' no '.

' Stupid Eva! He is going to kill you!'

" Always answer me with words!"

Aiden's stern voice made her tremble. She wanted to slap herself for forgetting the rules of the house.

"I..I apologise M...Master. This won't happen again."

He smirked at her form and ordered,

" Stay till I finish my dinner. "

Eva gulped and waited eagerly for him to finish the damn dinner so that she could get away from this room. She tried to maintain her calm posture, which was getting harder and harder. Because her master was staring at her form with an unreadable look on his face. Even worse, he made it look like he was enjoying her, not the food by the way he licked his damn fingers.

Aiden wanted to laugh at his young maid. She looked like she wanted to flee from this room very badly.

' Is she that scared of me?'

" Do you want to leave that badly ?"

Without minding his hidden undertone, she unconsciously said ' yes ' to him. she soon regretted it as she saw him getting up and moving closer to her way.

Aiden went to her shivering form and daringly placed his hand on her shoulder. Eva's eyes widened.

" Why do you want to leave Eva ?"

Eva's natural instincts kicked in. By habit she swatted his hand away. She never liked it when someone tried to touch her.

Aiden's anger spiked. This lowly maid is treating him like some unimportant person. He is a person with a high ego, and this little girl is tarnishing his ego and pride.

Eva cried out in pain as Aiden grabbed her quite hard. He showed her into a wall and crushed her soft body with his hard one.

Eva started to shake when she saw a dark murderous look take over her master's face. She is getting scared. Tears began to form in her eyes.

" I am the master here!! Everything in this house belongs to me! I own everything here!!! You dare to displease your master!!"

Eva tried to move his hand away but he tightened it painfully around her. Fear began to cloud her mind. Seeing no escape from him, she started to beg him.

" I am sorry M.. master. P.. Please let me leave."

Aiden gave her an insane smile.

" I like it when you beg me with this voice. "

He went to her ear and bite it till blood came.

" Let me hear more. "
