Chapter 8: Castle POV Ivory Costello King I had no idea what to call myself. I lived in the castle, after shifting in the night with my sister who laid her head on King Ezra's shoulders as the awkward ride towards the castle. I was quite pleased and satisfied once we had reached the castle which was not a long drive, I almost let out a moan when the cold night air hit my face. But now that I sit among all these people, their cold shoulders and intense stare as if questioning why I was here? Or who I was? I did not know how to address myself properly was it his second bride or his illegitimate second wife, the women who cannot add her husband’s name lawfully and forever be a single woman in the eye of law. Unwantedly I had become my mother, I felt her pain her fear of insult which would spread like a disease around the community. I knew why father kept his distance and why my step mother hated my guts. But I knew I did not deserve this. Did I not? "What's your name?” someone finally questioned, it was a woman with long waist length red hair which was like an Afro. Her round brown eyes and chocolate skin, she stared at me closely as if inspecting me. "Ivory-Ivory Costello.” I finally said, they looked towards each other before nodding there head as if they knew. "You came with the bride. You must be her sister?” Another person asked it was a man this time his bed hair was messy waves of brunette hair, his sharp pointy blue eyes and arched eyebrow stood out he was attractive. "Yes.” Was my answer, it was the moment the two new couple made their way down the stairs, they walked with head held high they had no communication as if having nothing to talk about silently sitting down they stared at the crowd which was around me. "Your highness. King and Queen of Mafia.” They addressed the two with respect, bowing their head in submission, I frowned as they stared at Ezra as if he was a life changer in a positive way. "I see you met...Miss Ivory.” He spoke, he looked towards his descendent as he walked towards the throne where he sat waiting for someone to entertain him. "She's very pretty your highness.” A woman spoke, she had a king and generous smile on her face she looked flawless. "Indeed. She’s King Ezra's second wife.” Queen Kenya spoke, all sudden all stared with wide eyes before sending a glare towards me. The women too, who called me beautiful she now showed her flaw. "We do not have available rooms for her, king Ezra.” The women who once complimented me spoke, being an illegitimate was a disease to them and how much I wiped my skin that status would never go away. "Elizabeth, I am the king I know how many rooms that are available or reserved. Take her to the chamber to my right and Iyla's left. Wait! Iyla and King Ezra were not going to sleep in one chamber! "Come on! “Elizabeth growled lowly, she frowned as she led me out of the living room and into the never-ending hallway.
