Chapter 13: Punishment Pt 2
POV Ivory Costello
My breathe had felt as it had gotten stuck on my throat, I could already imagine my face beginning to pale. My sweaty palm was in a tight fist around the red ropes that trapped my way out. I nervously waited for his next words.
I stood inside the ring I had seen before but in a television, the ring I had seen my cousins watch which was called 'WWE', it was similar it had the same red ropes, and white flooring though, however, the ring looked rather large than what I had seen.
I nervously itched my palms, my long wavy hair laid by my side. My eyes scanned around the room which held many people who were scattered around the ring, had they been waiting for what will happen to me.
They were all selfish, could only see their own pain they truly weren't anyone’s. And they showed no sympathy, cruel...This world was horrible, and I knew this.
"This is your punishment, Ivory Costello Tudor “King Ezra spat out, hate was evident in his voice. Anger was clear in his eyes, I had seen and heard about his ruthless merciless punishment.
"What is my punishment?” I questioned, my eyes narrowed in confusion my curiosity had taken the best of me. I waited for him to say something instead I heard a mocking laugh, my eyes widened as I watched King Ezra laugh his head leaned back, his face raised up facing the sky.
"This is your punishment..."He spoke as he stopped laughing, silent had filled the once whispering people which stood in this room.
"Monica-"At his command a woman crawled inside before standing up, she stood straight beside King Ezra with her curly red hair tied up into a high pony. Her lazy brown eyes widened in angers as she balled her palms into a tight fist.
"Fight her, if you win I will allow-to leave the castle like Iyla".... But if you lose, you will be starved inside your bedroom chamber for two days until you learn to wash your mouth with soap and listen to when I command you.” He spat out with confidence of me loosing, and I myself could see I had no chance of winning Monica was hunch for a woman I had ever seen, all her knuckles were busted.
"She's our strongest female guard, win her and gain your freedom or loose and bust your chance.” As he completed his final words the crowd cheered mercilessly, no one cried of sympathy to stop their king from brutally abusing me. They were all supporting him, this was the real world of The Mafia-No love just Pain, Violence and more dangerous things which could harm us.
"Wait-"I began to step back from this fight, it would be an unfair fight. I had not been trained or was desperate to probably die in this match just to leave, it was no lie I was determined to leave ABC escape this hell of a castle-But not with a bruise.
My words were cut off as the loud bell rang, it was like the bell in a church but much louder. The vibration penetrates in my body, causing all the hair in my body to stand up.
"Ahhh. “The roar of Monica echoed into room as she pounced towards me, a scream escaped my lips as I froze in the spot allowed to punch me right below my eyes. Collapsing to the ground cupping my cheeks I glared at her, I had never been in a fight and nor have I have fought.
"Fight me. "Monica screamed fisting her palm around my hair, flapping my arms as I tried to push her away from me, but it only angered her, she pushed me down to the ground only to continuously pound her kicks into my abdominal.
"Stop. STOP!" Everyone's cheers came to a stop, my body pained as if an elephant had just stepped on me. A single tear escaped my eyes as I sobbed, I laid flat not daring to even see who had stopped the people from yelling and paused Monica.
"Why are you here?” King Ezra's voice screeched almost hurting my ear buds, another sob escaped between my lips and another cry of pain.
"This is your punishment, brother." My cries died down as I heard Elijah speak, closing my eyes as my body burned I laid flat remembering King Ezra's words...'Fight her, if you win I will allow you freedom to leave the castle like Iyla".
I hated to look fragile, Weak, debilitated and incapacitated; deprived of strength.
"You have no right to contribute on how I can punish my wife or anyone from the family, I am the king not you.” King Ezra's voice jolted be back from my pain and snapped my eyes open as I gasped.
"No, you cannot allow Monica who is well trained to defeat and kill any women in this family to fight Ivory not if she's not trained.” Elijah spoke out, I had heard Elijah was a silent person who did not speak, and I had never seen him go against his brother, but it felt good to have someone by your side.
My body was lifted as I investigated the orbs of Elijah, my silent sob became louder as I laid my head on his shoulders, I hated myself for being so weak. For allowing King Ezra to prove how powerful he is, but it only made me hate him not respect him.
"You okay.” He spoke as he laid me down on my bed chamber, I cried in pain as I held my stomach which was probably bruised up.
"I want to train.” I groaned, Elijah looked started his eyes were wide as if he could not believe I had just said that to him.
"And you will train me. "I spoke, he blinked his eyes close and open rapidly before nodding his head with a smile on his lips.
