1044 Words
Erwen covered Fiona's body with a white towel after they took a shower together in the bathroom. As water dripped from her long hair, Erwen softly whispered to her ear while keeping her body closer. "Did you enjoy it?" "Yes, love..." Fiona's low voice, But it makes him feel excited, hearing those words. As he makes a closer move to her ear. bringing his lust turn up again. He can't control himself holding her body even after their intimate love. He kisses her ear and bites the edge of it, while holding her waist. "Can we do it again?" Erwen whispered. "No!" Fiona declined, and pinched his ear. "Awts!" Erwen reacted. But that moment Fiona suddenly laughed, teasing her boyfriend not to make this intimate sin again. "This is the last, nothing will follow until we get married." Erwen used that moment seriously, but unexpectedly for Fiona, he snatched a deep kiss from her lips. And so... Fiona and Erwen have to go home in a separate way, as if no one around sees them leaving the hotel. Unbeknownst to them, there is a white car that parked for four hours behind the street, in front of the hotel. Inside, someone is watching them and waiting for them to leave that place. That someone dialed a number to his phone. "Sir, Miss Fiona had left the hotel with a man named Erwen Sanchez" a voice of a man who is currently starring at Miss Fiona who rides with a taxi now. Then he cut the line after someone heard him. While Erwen left the hotel with his big bike, after seeing Fiona that was already left with the taxi. THAT EVENING; Fiona entered the dining room, as her mom asked her for a small family talk. Her father sat at the head of the table reviewing business documents. Antonio Villanueva. He was a respected businessman in agricultural supplies and high end tools for farmers throughout Davao City. He was known for his discipline, intelligence, and strict expectations. When Fiona entered, he looked up. "Sit down." She obeyed. Her mother sat nearby but remained silent. Antonio closed his folder and said, "I'll ask you something, and I expect an honest answer." Fiona's heartbeat quickened. "Yes, Dad." "Are you seeing someone?" There it was, The question she had been dreading. For a second, she considered lying. But she remembered the promise she had made to Erwen. "No." she said. She knows that her lies would only make things worse. "Yes," she answered once again. As if she's trying to be honest and to clarify something, but fear comes first to her. Antonio's expression hardened. "What is his name?" In his questions, Fiona swallowed hard before mentioning a name. "Erwen Sanchez." The room instantly became silent. Marissa lowered her eyes, and her husband Antonio slowly leaned back in his chair. "Who's the parents of this man?" "He didn't introduce me yet to his family, but he promised that he will do that in tyhe right time." Fiona tried to explain. "So what are his occupations?" Don Antonio asked. "Dad, he is the son of a farmer" "What?! he is a farmer!" Marissa was so shocked after she realized that her daughter had a secret relationship with a son of a farmer. "A son of a farmer!" Don Antonio's reaction seems to curse that name. Fiona swallowed. "Yes." "I've heard about him." Something about Don Anfonio's tone worried her. "He's a good man, I promised!" Fiona said. Antonio laughed coldly. "A good man?" "Yes." "He owns nothing." Antonio interjected. "Dad..." she tried to stop him. "He has no business and no money. What can he possibly provide for you? He can't even afford the simplest luxuries." Antonio said. "He's hardworking." Fiona said. "He has no future. And you? you have no future if you choose that man!" Fiona felt her chest tighten. "You don't know him, Dad." Antonio stood. "I know enough. A poor guy like him will do anything to get you to obey him, and then he will use up everything you have. And in the end you will be left alone with nothing" The room seemed smaller with every word of a father. "You are my daughter. And I did not spend my entire life building this family so you could throw your future away." Antonio continued. Tears formed in Fiona's eyes. "I love him." Antonio's face darkened. "Love doesn't buy gold." The words struck her like a slap. For years she had respected her like a father, she had obeyed him. But at that moment, she saw something she had never noticed before. He cared more about status than happiness. More about appearances than love. "I'm not breaking up with him," Fiona said. Antonio stared at her, he didn't move, he didn't back down, but something in his eyes consumed by hatred "Then you leave me no choice." he finally said. Fear spreads through Fiona's body. "What do you mean Dad?" His voice became cold. "You will stop seeing the useless Erwen Sanchez." "No." "You will." Antonio interjected. "No." Fiona cried. Antonio slammed his hand against the table. "Enough!" The sound echoed through the room. Marissa flinched, she did not say anything to comfort her daughter, nor to support the decission of her husband, as long as her family stayed together, that was enough for her. And then Fiona's eyes filled with tears. But she refused to surrender. For the first time in her life, she challenged her father. And Antonio Villanueva did not like being challenged, especially when it comes to the future of his daughter. Not at all. "You are not the one to decide what is better in this family," a word of his father uttered, like a promise that had been nailed to it. Fiona confidently stands up, never intends to listen further to their words. "Fiona?!" Marissa's voices increase. Trying to stop her daughter from over reacting. Through this kind of discouragement, Fiona was being hurt, she was hurt for knowing that her parents didn't like Erwen as her boyfriend. Instead, she left the dining room and ran going upstairs, she sensed that a storm was coming. A storm capable of destroying everything she and Erwen had built together.
