Selina's POV
In less than ten minutes, Bella was driving to my apartment building. She was in such a hurry that she didn't even have time to put on makeup or change her clothes. Her hair is a bit messy, her temporary clothes have not been properly adjusted. I suddenly breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that the strange illness I was thinking about was no longer scary. Anyway, there are people who worry about me and stay by my side all the time, no matter what happens, I will get through it.
We sat down on the sofa in the living room. Bella sat right next to me, she took my arm and watched. It seems Bella also remembers the locations of my wounds from yesterday. She scrutinized each place carefully, the worry on Bella's face growing darker by the day. How can so many wounds that just bled yesterday to today heal like they never happened? Not even leaving a scar or even the faintest trace.
After checking in, Bella sat down in front of me. She seems to be contemplating something. After a while, she took out her phone and looked up many different keywords, but the results did not satisfy her.
"None! No useful information! They're not even relevant to your situation. This proves that this is indeed very rare, possibly never happened, or has not been the case. similar cases have been made public and recorded before!"
Bella threw the phone down on the chair, frowning worriedly.
"Then there's a high chance that going to the hospital won't help either. Maybe the doctor can't figure out why either. Selina, you really don't feel pain or any other sensations, do you? If I try pressing on it, will it feel anything?"
I'm sorry, but I have to shake my head.
"There's really no pain or anything, everything is normal, just like any other part of the body."
"Is the problem inside your body that the naked eye can't see? We should still go to the hospital, maybe the machine can check something out."
Bella got up and grabbed her car keys, but I suddenly grabbed her hand.
"But Bella, I'm a bit scared. What if my body is really weird, wouldn't that be abnormal? What if the doctor says I'm not that new?"
Bella just stared at me, then she burst out laughing, her hand patting my shoulder comfortingly.
"You've been watching too many sci-fi movies! I think this is just a symptom of some strange illness, you can't turn into Iron Girl or Spider Girl!"
After saying a teasing sentence, Bella again confirmed to me with a serious face.
"It won't be a problem, I swear! As long as your health is not affected, this is a privilege, let's be optimistic!"
I took a deep breath, then nodded. Bella saw that and tried to pull me out the door right away. This time it was my turn to laugh.
"Wait a minute! Are you going out with that messy hair and sloppy clothes? It's not going to take another fifteen minutes to change the outcome anyway, so you'd better go change first, anyway. Get dressed and tidy yourself up!"
Maybe Bella doesn't know what her image looks like right now. She looked at herself through the phone camera, then immediately ran into my bathroom screaming loudly.
"Ah! God! I look terrible!"
I shook my head laughing. I went to the bedroom to prepare a few things. I need to bring my bank cards, personal documents and most importantly health insurance. Honestly, since I was a child, I was afraid to go to the hospital, because that place was filled with my unhappy memories. When I lost my grandparents, then my parents, it all happened in the hospital. I also hate the smell of antiseptic and fear needles. But I think today's blood test is inevitable.
Fifteen minutes later Bella came out of the bathroom. She looks completely different now. Shiny hair is neatly combed, clothes are neat and tidy. Bella even applied lipstick to make her face look even more radiant. I also have everything ready. In my small bag are my phone, wallet, identification documents too. We started off.
Bella drove me to the biggest hospital in the city. This is a private hospital with international quality, but the price of medical services is also extremely expensive. However, we both thought that with the excellent expertise of the doctors here, perhaps they could find the cause of my symptoms.
Because we didn't have an appointment, we had to wait a long time. It took me over an hour to get my order number. We go to the laboratory first and then to internal medicine. I hope that my illness will have an answer.
It's finally my turn. We took the blood and urine test results with us to see the doctor. Fortunately, the testing process is now much more advanced and faster, otherwise I would have had to wait a few more hours.
The doctor checked my test results, then started asking a few questions.
"What's the weird symptom you're experiencing?"
I immediately replied.
"Yesterday I fell and was injured in several places. They left scratches that bleed and I had to bandage them. However, this morning I woke up and all the wounds were completely healed. They don't even leave the slightest scar. I don't feel any pain or itchiness like the process of growing young skin."
The doctor frowned, bowed his head to take notes on the medical record, then he continued to question me.
"What healing potions did you use for the wounds yesterday? Did you bring them here or remember the names of those?"
I nodded. I knew the basic diagnostic steps so I brought in the medications that I took. I took them out and put them on the table, they were all common medicines used to apply and disinfect skin wounds. I don't think they are anything special.
Sure enough, after examining it once, the doctor did not find anything strange.
"Have you ever been in a similar situation since you were a child? Are you injured often? If so, how long does it take to heal?"
I remember the times I was injured before.
"I've never been in a similar situation. Ever since I was a kid, I've been a normal kid like everyone else. I don't often get hurt or get sick, but every time I get sick, it takes time to heal. My immune system is quite weak, if I have a fever, the fever will persist for about two weeks. With skin wounds like this, it usually takes me three to five years. days for it to scab and it takes about a month to completely clear the scar."
The doctor nodded and continued to take notes. I anxiously await the results. After about ten minutes, the doctor put down his pen and shook his head.
"I'm sorry but I have never met a patient with symptoms like yours. According to the results of blood and urine tests, every organ in your body is working normally. DNA also has no mutations or changes. unusual structural changes. I can confirm you are completely healthy, with no signs of any underlying disease."
I let out a sigh. The results were no different from what I expected. I don't feel disappointed either, because what happened to me is strange. Even so, I also feel more reassured that my body is still healthy and there seems to be no sign of getting sick in the near future. I said goodbye to the doctor and left the room.
Bella is waiting for me. She looked at me with questioning eyes and I just shook my head gently. Bella also understood that I couldn't find the answer.
We walked to the parking lot. Although the test results can be good news when I don't have the disease, the miraculous healing of the wounds still makes me cringe. Not only was I worried, but I was curious as to what happened in the end. Things that people can't quite understand always make them feel more concerned. Me too.
Bella nudged my arm lightly. I turned to look at her.
"What's wrong? Are you still worried?"
I honestly nodded. Bella didn't seem to know how to comfort me. But after thinking for a few minutes, her eyes suddenly lit up.
"Hey! Selina! I have an idea. Don't you usually like mysterious things? You also like to look at the zodiac and tarot. What's happened to you is so strange, not even science. explain it, or let's go find an answer to it with psychic powers! You are there! Or else we can have a fortune telling about your relationship with Yami, will you get married in the future? Well, are you interested?"
I thought about what Bella had just said. She is very right, I am quite a believer in spirituality, normally I like to see tarot and zodiac, I also feel it is quite accurate. Maybe divination can show my problem? Thinking that, I nodded in agreement.
Bella looked eager, she immediately pulled me over to our parking spot.
"Let's go!"
