Chapter 9: Adam

Selina's POV

I woke up at seven in the morning. Of course, Yami left early. The rose in a glass vase is still emitting a fragrant aroma. Even though a night has passed, the dark blue petals still have a charming fresh look, with no signs of fading. I feel its beauty is very similar to Yami, both mysterious and attractive.

I bent my head to smell its wonderful scent. When that seductive fragrance entered my nose, I felt my spirit become miraculously refreshed. I think everything Yami has given me has been extremely enjoyable to me, it not only suits my taste but also brings strange pleasant sensations.

The first thing I do after getting out of bed is to change the water for the beautiful flower. After doing this, I went to the bathroom to shower and change clothes to prepare for school. When I walked into my kitchen, of course I saw the meticulously prepared breakfast lying on the dining table. On it was also a small note left by Yami.

"Hot bread in the oven, enjoy your breakfast deliciously. Love you, Yami."

I felt my heart warm like someone's hand. I smiled sweetly and kept the note in my familiar little box. There I had hundreds of notes that Yami left whenever he wanted to tell me something. This sweet act of Yami is always appreciated by me.

I ate breakfast in a good mood and prepared to go to school with a cheerful mind.

Last night I talked to Yami about Bella wanting to see him. And I remember that Yami agreed, but the meeting can still only take place at midnight, during the daytime he will not appear, because that is when he is with his real family. I will not invade that private space.

I met Bella at lunchtime in the school canteen to talk about it. However, when I was just leaving my classroom, I ran into someone I didn't really like.

"Hi, Selina, will you hang out with me?"

A group of male students stood in front of me. Leading the group was a tall man with blond hair, his half-smile and cunning narrow eyes were unmistakable features. I don't like the way he looks at me from head to toe appreciatively, it's not hard to imagine the lewd thoughts in his head, a guy who has lured me to bed since the first meeting, an impression pathetic that I can never forget.

I met him at a college party. Unfortunately, he caught my eye and wanted me to be his mistress. However his bad reputation had spread throughout the school and it was my rule not to go to bed with strangers so I flatly refused. I took a few steps back, my whole body in a defensive position. I can't deal with all these annoying people, but I don't think he'll dare to do anything outrageous in school, at best he can only use jokes to block my way.

I frowned at his dirty remarks, why in the world could there be men who can be rude to women? People like that are all disgusting, making me nauseous just looking at them.

Bella is far away from me today, she really couldn't come to my rescue in time. I had anticipated this situation a long time ago, because Bella wasn't always with me.

I brushed away the rude hand that wanted to touch my face, then prepared to turn around and leave the other way. I don't want to mess with these people, it's best to get out of here quickly.

"Does the baby want to run again? Come on, don't waste your time. I won't let you go easily today. That Bella girl didn't come to the rescue in time, you'd better give up. Let's go. Wait until I'm satisfied and then I'll consider letting you go."

I pursed my lips and looked around. Unfortunately, when other students saw these thugs, they all shied away, no one wanted to interfere in their business and then get beaten up. I knew that he was a man with a high status in the gang, those who dared to cause trouble with him were brutally revenged, even a student was beaten to death. However, because his family had the right to do so, he not only did not go to jail but also wandered around the law. Since then, very few people have dared to confront him, only Bella is the exception.

I really hate this guy. I won't let him get there. I don't intend to be his toy either. This bastard deserves the most horrible punishment for the crimes he committed. But first of all, I can't be caught again.

I observed the gap between the bullies. I don't know what I can do to get out of this situation, but I think I have to do something to break the encirclement and seize the opportunity quickly to escape.

I don't have anything in hand to use as a weapon, nor do I have the strength to fight them. What can I do? I anxiously looked around, I realized that there was a sandy beach at my feet, I would take advantage of that.

"If I go with you this time, you won't stalk me anymore right?"

I started talking to get the man's attention. I know what he cares about most. If I pretend to compromise on his request, there's a chance he'll let his guard down and that's my chance. As expected, after I said that, his attitude changed immediately.

Hearing that, the man smiled triumphantly.

"It's a wise decision. If you obediently obey, I may pity you and let you go."

The moment he let his guard down, I seized the opportunity and crouched down quickly. My hands were full of sand, and then I threw it at his face with all my might.

The sand was blown by the wind, straight into his face, into his eyes and in his mouth. Not only him, but also the people standing next to him could not be avoided. They screamed and hugged their faces, repeatedly rubbing their eyes with their hands to save their eyes.

The people behind me immediately regained their sanity.

I didn't run far when they pulled each other to chase. As long as I can run into the crowded lecture hall, they will have to give up!

I ran fast without paying attention to my surroundings, so I didn't know there was an obstacle under my feet. I tripped over a rock and fell to the ground. My body ached and my limbs were immediately scratched and bleeding. I didn't care about my injury, but immediately got up and wanted to continue running. But the wound hurt more than I thought, it drained me of strength. The thugs caught up with me.

They once again surrounded me, the man's face contorted with anger also appeared. His eyes were as red as if they were bleeding, and the red streaks of blood in the eye sockets looked extremely scary.

"You slut! See where you can run away! Dare to hurt me, I must r**e you!"

My body aches and pains. I don't know what to do now. The sadist's hand grabbed my hair and pulled it back, the pain so numb that I wanted to scream. I closed my eyes in despair.

"Bop!"

A punch like a hurricane hit the villain's face. His scream resounded again, accompanied by a crackling sound like a broken jaw. I opened my eyes and looked ahead, the scoundrel who had relied on a lot of weakness now fell to the ground. He clutched his chin and cried out in agony, his whole face clearly tilted to one side. I looked at the guy with his back to me in horror, his strong fists and tall stature scared the rest of the guys away.
